RESULTS: Monday Night Raw Mar. 10, 1997

COREY MAJOR PRE-MATCH COMMENTS

(Corey and Heart Attack are in the Raw-buttal area. The screen behind them flickers on from static and shows clips of Corey's band, Tripwire, performing on stage at the CoreStates Center. The fans are going wild as Major runs around the stage pumping out some wicked bass lines. The logo for Tripwire then appears.)

Corey: THIS IS IT! I'm back here... in the interview area... just moments away from my FIRST chance at getting the Intercontinental Title! All I have to do is... beat Diamond Dallas Page! He's SO far out of practice! When's the last time we've seen HIM wrestle?

Heart Attack: Long TIME!

Corey: And ME? Aside from the DUNGEON, I'm in there week after week beating the former Intercontinental Champion, Badd Boy Derrick Stardom. We KNOW how I got entered in the tournament... how did DDP? This is MY chance.....

(Corey puts his arm around Heart Attack and points to the camera...)

Corey: AND CHAOS ENSUES!

The Match:
The camera cuts from the interview area to ringside.... where we fine other participants in the tournament walking around the ring watching. Razor Ramon is here with a toothpick in his mouth... one behind his ear... and in his leather vest.

Sting is also here... carrying a ball bat and wearing his black and white make-up. He prowls around the ring.... then...

SELF HIGH FIVE! DDP is introduced! He comes out wearing a DDP t-shirt and his usual tights. He's puffing on a cigar and wearing sunglasses. He comes past a camera that is rushing in toward him....

DDP: This is just TOO easy people! Face losers like THIS?

DDP makes like he will high-five a fan, then pull away and high-five himself! He gets into the ring and makes the DDP symbol.

ALIVE AND KICKIN' by Tripwire starts to play and the fans cheer for the underdog! Corey comes through the ropes with Heart Attack on his arm... he looks nervous. Bret Hart comes out and pats Corey on the back and says something encouraging to him... and Corey nods and smiles...

Corey is dressed in a Tripwire t-shirt, faded jeans and snake-skin cowboy boots. He has his long hair out and down his back. When he gets to ringside, he looks over at the entourage at the broadcast table... and takes Heart Attack by the hand and leads her to the opposite side. Bret stands nearby.

Pillman: This should be good for laughs... COREY MAJOR!

King: "Which guy in Titan Towers has DDP been kissing up to? The Warrior has to go through Sid to advance, and vice versa! Double J has to go through The Undertaker to advance, and vice versa! DDP has to beat . . . COREY MAJOR?!? Somebody up in the WWF offices has a nice, fat check from DDP sitting in their bank account!"

DDP walks up to Major in the ring saying something. He gets up close to Corey and pushes him back. Corey looks up at DDP... AND SPITS ON HIM! DDP punches.... A GROIN SHOT!!! Corey doubles over in pain!

DDP elbow smashes Corey on the back of the head. Major straightens up, a look of pain... and anger on his face.... HE KNEELIFTS PAGE!!! Corey grabs an arm and spins it around, switching to a standing side-headlock when he pushes Page forward.

Corey, feeling Page escaping, pulls DDP in toward him... still doubled over.... he releases the hold and grapevines the arms behind Page's back... DOUBLE UNDERHOOK POWERBOMB!!!!

Corey runs at the ropes, looking out at the fans yelling, then he looks down at Heart Attack who is jumping around cheering! He smiles at her, then turns back to DDP, pulling him up in a standing side headlock.

Page pushes Corey off... AND THROUGH THE ROPES!!! Corey falls all the way to the outside, in front of the announcer's table! DDP flips out of the ring after him. He lifts Corey up on his shoulder... and runs him toward the fans... A POWERSLAM INTO THE CROWD.... Corey drops down behind Page!!!! Page turns around.... COREY BODYSLAMS HIM ON THE THIN MATS!!!!

Major turns around and holds a fist up at the announcer's with an angry and crazy look on his face. He starts to climb up the ropes.... ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP!!! Diamond Dallas is beginning to get up.... COREY LEAPS...FLYING DOUBLE AXEHANDLE!!!!

Corey jumps up to his feet! He yells out... then starts walking around the ring barricade, slapping hands with the fans. Page is still down. Corey gets all the way to the other side of the ring, where he high-fives Bret and Heart Attack. Bret gives a few instructions to Corey, who nods, understanding. He rolls into the ring, crosses it... and holds the ropes open for Page.

DDP gets up and into the ring, and after Major is sure he's in... KNEELIFT!!! Page backs up... Corey does a go-behind into a chickenwing. Page begins to drop and back out of it... Bret yells advice... and Corey hits a drop-toe hold, maintaining control! Page pounds the mat in frustration!

Corey rises up with one of Page's legs and spins him onto his back... STEP OVER TOE HOLD! He twists Page's leg around... DDP reaches back for the ropes... but can't reach them!!! Corey releases.... THEN SPINS IT ON HARDER! Page reaches up... straining himself to reach Corey. He grabs Corey by the head.... THEY ROLL OVER IN A SMALL PACKAGE....COREY ROLLS ON TOP....

The referee dives down... 1... 2... 3... !!!! THE PLACE GOES NUTS!!!! Corey pops up with wide-eyes!!!! ALIVE AND KICKIN' STARTS TO PLAY AGAIN!!!

Winner, by pinfall: Chaotic Corey Major

Page sits up and pounds the mat with his fists. Corey flips out of the ring and gives Bret a big high-five... then gives Heart Attack a big hug!

Pillman: HE CHEATED! He HOOKED THE TIGHTS!

Corey: I DON'T BELIEVE IT! I DID IT!

Corey runs around the ring and slaps everyone's hand as his music plays and the fireworks go off all around!

Corey: AND CHAOS ENSUES! One step closer to WrestleMania!
