RESULTS: Monday Night Raw Mar 17, 1997

FIRST ROUND: INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE TOURNAMENT

vs.
JoBo
w/ZoBo

The Match:
The camera comes down to the ringside area. Sting and Razor Ramon walk around the ring, keeping their distance from each other. Sting has on his trench coat and make up and wields a ball bat. Razor has his hair slicked back, and is chewing on a toothpick. The Publican, Mike Rotundo gets up from the table and walks up to ringside....

And then, Emperor Eddie Gilbert comes down the aisle with Power & Glory: Hercules and Paul Roma. Each take up a side of the ring, so there is one Empire member on each side.

'Cult of Personality' starts to play... and Derrick comes out to find this... 'trap'? He walks to the ring directly, not pausing to play around with the fans as he usually does. He rolls into the ring and points down at the Emperor, who simply shakes his head negatively up to Stardom.

JoBo is introduced next... and he and ZoBo come calmly down to the ring. Both men get inside, and ZoBo speaks with his charge for a few moments, then leaves. The bell rings... and JoBo charges Stardom... CLOTHESLINE!

Stardom is knocked back... but he dives forward... FOREARM SMASH! JoBo teeters a bit.... and Stardom bounces back to the ropes to come up with more momentum....

But the Emperor reaches in and TRIPS Stardom down to the mat! JoBo rushes forward and KICKS Stardom on the back of the head! Stardom is pulled up to his feet... and he leaps up and plants a boot in JoBo's face, knocking him back to the center of the ring....

Stardom climbs up to the top rope... and LEAPS... OUTSIDE ON TOP OF EDDIE GILBERT!!! Gilbert is dropped! Stardom jumps back into the ring and runs at JoBo... EUROPEAN UPPERCUT!

Stardom bounces off the ropes again... but this time.. HERCULES trips him down to the mat! JoBo runs... ABDOMINAL SPLASH... Stardom rolls aside!! JoBo and Stardom are both then laying in the ring, catching their breath.

The Publican jumps up onto the apron and calls for referee Mitzy Johnson to come over. She turns to him and yells for him to get down... but he argues back....

Behind her back... the Empire ACTS! Roma rolls into the ring and blasts Stardom with a two fisted smash on the head! Roma grabs one of Stardom's arms... and JoBo grabs the other.... the Publican still has the referee tied up!

Sabrina Savage then comes through the curtains and comes down to the ring. She has a concerned look on her face.

Emperor Eddie comes around....reaches into his pocket. JoBo and Roma point Stardom towards the Emperor... who throws... A FIREBALL in his face!!! Stardom falls back and tries to clutch at his face... but Roma and JoBo hold him up!!!

The Emperor grabs something from his jacket again... Derrick yanks free of Roma... then JoBo... and dives forward at Gilbert... but gets hit...A SECOND FIREBALL!!!

Sabrina comes over to Eddie and starts argueing with him... something about... 'you don't have to HURT him.' Gilbert just laughs and shrugs! Stardom is face down in the ring, clutching at his face, yelling in pain. Roma rolls out of the ring and then the Publican drops down off the apron. The referee turns around to see...

JoBo hit... MASSIVE SCOOP SIDE SUPLEX!!!! JoBo continues to blast away on Stardom with heavy artillery. The Empire take up their positions around the ring....

Razor and Sting still look on from their seperate positions. The fans suddenly react loudly! It's ROXANNE! She comes storming through the curtains with a determined and angry look on her face.

Pillman throws down his head-set on the table and heads her off! He grabs a hold of her... a little rough... or maybe a little fresh... and pulls her away. She struggles. Pillman starts to pull her back up the aisle as she yells for Gilbert's BLOOD! Pillman throws her up the aisle... where.... STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN comes out and snatches her up! He throws her over his shoulder.... AND CARRIES HER OUT! She beats on his back as he walks, yelling and struggling.

A laughing Pillman returns to the table.

Pillman: Now don't YOU get any bright ideas, Heart Attack!

JoBo unloads with a series of punches and kicks that finally knocks Stardom back down to the mat! JoBo bounces off the ropes... ABDOMINAL SPLASH... ON TARGET!!! JoBo sends Stardom to the turnbuckles.... then SMOTHERS him there with an AVALANCHE!!!

JoBo picks up Stardom... but takes a thumb to his eye. Stardom gets under the 440 pounder.... BODYSLAM!!!! Stardom plants JoBo down in the center of the ring!! He turns... AND DIVES THROUGH THE ROPES AT GILBERT!!!

Stardom and Gilbert brawl on the floor! Stardom takes a punch to the face, but then rolls over on top and begins to piston punch the Emperor! Paul Roma begins to come around the ring.... and Stardom gets up... runs at him....

CLOTHESLINES HIM TO THE MAT!!! Roma rolls aside... and Stardom keeps running around the ring. The Publican readies his briefcase... but Stardom dives at him...

CLOTHESLINE! The Publican is dropped! The fans are cheering! Gilbert is down! Roma is down! The Publican is down! Stardom turns the final corner around the ring...toward Hercules... who lifts up his heavy, metal chain and begins to swing it around over his head.....
