JEFF JARRETT PRE-MATCH COMMENTS

"Ha Ha Ha! Tonight's the big night! My first title defense as champion! JoBo, you've impressed a lot of people in the short time you've been here in the WWF, and I'm one of those people. But tonight, JoBo, Double J is gonna take you to school and teach you a few things about wrestling! Now I hate to cast aside an important match like this, but I've got some other things to talk about.

Razor Ramon, I appriciate the offer to join your group, but have you TOTALLY lost your mind?!? Don't you remember the past that we have?!? I suppose that if you're willing to forget all of that than so am I, but I'm not interested in joining any stables right now.

And now, a new subject. Last and CERTAINLY least. Bret Hart, did you ever wonder why the nWo never laid you out? Do you even wonder why I never took it upon myself to take you down in the dressing rooms? And don't give me crap about the Mega Powers being with you, cause jumping into a large group of people and laying every one of them down is nothing new to me, and the Suntastics will tell you about that. The reason, Bret, is because I had some respect for you and what you've done in the WWF. I never had anything personal against you. I just wanted to test myself against one of the best. Well, that's all changed, Bret Hart! I no longer have ANY respect for you! Sure, Bret, it's ME who is ducking YOU. Wasn't it ME who challenged Bret Hart to a simple match MONTHS ago? I think it was. And who was it that said NOTHING about that match . . . until I was on the shelf? Oh, I think that was YOU, Bret.

I could go on and on about this, but the people know the story. They know what's gone down, and they know that everything I'm saying is the truth. You can't say that, Bret. I know, you know, and the people all know that any claims you've made about this entire situation have all been lies. Bret Hart, you said maybe I'm scared to lose to you. I have lost to MANY people before, Bret, and any number of them I'd lose to again before I lose to a guy like you. I've lost more matches than anyone I know, but do I come out here and cry about it? Hell no! I move on, and learn from my losses.

And you call me lazy? Have you been watching the WWF lately, Bret? Did you see the guy who beat Vader for the IC title? Did you see the guy that took THREE Tombstones from the Undertaker before he was finished? Did you see the guy that got pinned only after TWO Jackknifes from Diesel? Did you see the guy that wouldn't give up to Sting, and passed out instead? How about the guy that pinned YOU on TNT just last week? Well, just in case you missed that, cause I know that hiding behind other people takes up a lot of your time, it was ME, Bret. Every one of those instances was me. Just being lazy, I guess.

Bret, I FINALLY got my match with you on Superstars this week. You go on up to the Dungeon and get in some last minute training. Get ol' Stu down on the mat to help you! What's with that, anyway? Stu Hart wasn't some technical wrestler! MY family has a technical background! I have learned from the best! And I have forgotten more about wrestling than you will ever know, Bret Hart! You said I showed my 'true colors', Bret. Well, I'm not like you. What you see is what you get from Jeff Jarrett. I'm the exact same person I was 6 months ago, and there's nothing that's gonna change that. I can be as good as I want to be, or I can be as bad as I want. And the last time I was as bad as I wanted to be, Bret . . . well, you ask Razor Ramon about that. He started with me, and was one of the most popular stars around. And what happened? We all know what I did with him. Don't think it couldn't happen to you, Bret.

Now I'm ready to go out and defend my title. This could be the only time I defend the title. JoBo could be anyone at anytime! And I wish you the best of luck, JoBo. I don't care if this is my only title defense. Because I held the title, and that's all I wanted to do. Class is starting, JoBo, so take your seat. And Bret, you pay close attention, too. Cause you're getting a pop quiz on Superstars, and I'm not in a mood to pass anyone."
