RESULTS: Monday Night Raw Apr. 21, 1997

The Match:
'La Grange' begins to play and Arn Anderson, Chris Benoit and Woman come through the curtains. They stand and give the Four Horsemen to the unappreciative fans... and then are ATTACKED FROM BEHIND!!!

The Giant and Terry Taylor come out behind them. Arn turns around and is CAUGHT around the throat by the Giant... CHOKE SLAM!!! Taylor drops down and tries to knee clip Chris Benoit, but the Crippler leaps over him.

Before the Enforcers can counter-attack... THE ROAD WARRIORS ARE ON THE SCENE!!! Hawk and Animal step in between the two teams and motion for the Giant and Taylor to leave.

Taylor and the Giant look around, as if searching for someone. Hawk and Animal glare at them. Moments later, Taylor and the Giant back away and go behind the curtains. Hawk and Animal look at the Enforcers with disgust and motion for them to go to the ring... and they do.

Owen and the Bulldog enter next to Davey Boy's British anthem. They are with Clarence Mason, Phoenix, Rubican and four Rebirth ninjas.

JR: Answers aren't coming easily, that's for sure! What kind of gripe do the Giant and Terry Taylor have with the Enforcers, unless THEY have joined the Rebirth as well!

Benoit lets Arn stay on the corner and shake off the effects of the choke slam. He begins the match with Owen Hart. Owen swiftly kicks Benoit in the face, then turns him over INTO A BODYSLAM!!! Owen goes to the corner, and climbs up to the top rope....he leaps....

AND MISSES AN ELBOWDROP as Benoit sits up at the last instant! Benoit rises up and starts kicking at Owen, then double axehandles him down to the mat. Chris continues to stomp on Owen as Woman screams in, urging Benoit on.

Hart rolls to his feet... and Benoit drops him down with a toehold! Chris stands and continues to kick Owen in the back... then he drops a punch on him... then an elbow!!!

JR: Once the Crippler gets started, he's like a pit bull... he is just so hard to stop!

Benoit lifts up Owen and leaps in the air, planting his feet in Owen's mid-section and falling back.... MONKEY FLIP!!! Owen is tossed over... but he lands on his feet! Benoit rolls back up to HIS feet and turns.... into an Owen BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX!!! Owen leaps up... and WHOOOOS!!!! to the fans! They BOO back!

Owen reaches out and tags in the Bulldog... who CLIMBS TO THE TOP ROPE!! He leaps.... ABDOMINAL SPLASH!!! Davey pops up to his feet and does a somersault over, showing off to the fans. He flexes his muscles and they boo him. The Crippler starts to stir and Davey returns to him. Benoit throws an uppercut into the Bulldog's stomach, stunning him. He rolls over and tags in Arn Anderson.

Double A comes in and spins around... connecting a DISCUS PUNCH on the Bulldog! Davey tilts back shaking his head... then regains his wits. He dives at Arn and hits a double leg takedown! He bashes Arn in the face... then lifts him up into a classic British Bulldog vertical suplex, holding him there for nearly TEN SECONDS!! He falls back.... and WHAM!!!!!

JR: Nobody does it like Davey Boy!

The Bulldog stands up and flexes as Arn makes a tag to Chris Benoit. The Bulldog turns and Chris throws up a boot... the Bulldog CATCHES IT!! The Bulldog boots CHRIS in the leg, spinning him around. He runs at Benoit with a clothesline, but the speedy Benoit ducks under it and comes up behind him with an armwringer!

The Bulldog uses his superior strength to throw Benoit off of him, smashing him down into the canvas. The Bulldog hooks him.... DROP DDT!!! He tags in Owen, who hurriedly rushes in and APPLIES THE SHARPSHOOTER!!!

Owen leans back on the Sharpshooter and Benoit reaches out for the ropes.... Arn pushes the bottom strand towards him... AND BENOIT REACHES IT!! The ref turns and sees Chris holding the ropes and he breaks the hold....
