QUALIFY 97 REPORT

Jim Ross is down at the announcers table. A group of fans behind him hold up signs that say: THE UNDERTAKER RULES! CRYIN' BRIAN PILLMAN! HI MOM! And another that says: SCOOPS! A King of the Ring logo appears next to JR and under it... the words: Qualify 97.

JR: Howdy folks... if you've seen the WEB SITE, you already know that the King of the Ring bracketing has been filled in. And folks, some phenomenal cards were randomly drawn up for this event on May the 4th!

JR: Big Daddy Cool, the previous winner receives an automatic BYE into the second round to be held at the Pay-Per-View in June. He will meet the winner of the Giant/Sid match! The Giant and Sid have quite a rivalry. One of their matches ended in a draw... while the other found Sid victorious. You can bet either of these men want a victory... and then ANOTHER over BDC!

JR: Corey Major and Flash Funk will do battle in a re-match of their TNT encounter that was cut short by interference. And what about the 436 pound JoBo against the 517 pound Lucifer Graves!? Folks... that's a half a ton between the two of them!

JR: Stone Cold Steve Austin will face Badd Boy Derrick Stardom. After what has been going down, this grudge should still be in full swing next weekend. I'm interested to see where Sabrina plays into all this.

JR: Razor and the Machine.... Shawn Michaels and the Warrior... and of course, Bret Hart and Sting in a Finishing Maneuver Match to be held the next night LIVE on RAW!

JR: Throw in Double J defending against Vader, and the Road Warriors defending against the Hart Foundation and you have a card that's just ready to BURST!

JR: One of the funnest things to do is to predict how the tournament will go down... and WHO will win. Folks... I'm seeing it exactly the way the Hitman wanted it! I'm predicting a Bret Hart/Stone Cold final at the PPV. And right now, it's too early to call the winner of THAT match. But anything CAN... and probably WILL happen between now and then.

JR: Folks, it's May 4th... in the War Memorial in Rochester, New York. It's called Qualify 97 and it's going to ROCK! It's the on-ramp to the King of the Ring tournament. So pick up the latest copy of the WWF Magazine, and in it you'll find a scorecard so that you can follow all of the winners... all the way to the CORONATION! Let's get to some more of WWF Superstars!

"Two Time Slammy Award Winning"Owen Hart:"Enforcers,you got what you deserved on Monday Night Raw,and we whooped your asse's,and got our revenge for what you did to us,in our dressing room!Hart Foundation your next,we want you,we don't care if your champs,or not,we want you at The King of The Ring,and Bret I don't give a hell if your in The King of the Ring Tournament,because we still want to fight you,and we will,and we will destroy both of you losers,and then after you we are going for The WWF World Tag Team Belts!Whoooo!"(Owen shows both of his Slammy's off to the camera)

The British Bulldog:(British Accent)"That's right!Hart Foundation you better be ready to fight us at The King of the Ring!We will whoop your asse's,and hurt you very badly,at the sametime!Then we are going to go for,and win The WWF World Tag Team Belts!Oh yeah,and Rebirth we don't have anything against you or anything,but we have decided to quit the stable,and go on our own again,we are very sorry!Hart Foundation,we are going to kill you,and then get The WWF World Tag Team Belts!"(The British Bulldog shows off his European Belt to the camera)

Clarence Mason:"WWF,pretty soon,my guys are going to be The WWF World Tag Team Champions!If any of you cheat on them,I will take legal action!Hahahahahahahahaha!"

(The screen fades to black)

JR: Folks... I just don't GET IT!? Where did those Slammy's come from? And that European Title? This is all VERY confusing!
