RESULTS: Monday Night Raw Apr. 28, 1997

The lights come back up in the arena, and JR is still in the ring.

JR: Those folks seem ready! Also on the card, the Bad Guy Razor Ramon will meet the Imperial Machine! Maybe Razor can get a little PAYBACK for what the Empire did to him back at the Countdown! The Empire may be in the midst of crumbling... or ARE THEY?

JR: Shawn Michaels will meet the Ultimate Warrior! The Warrior has been EXPLODING here in the WWF, and is a heavy favorite to win it all! Of course, dare we all hope to see Shawn Michaels and Diesel face each other in the semi-finals? Whew!

JR: Nearly a HALF A TON OF HUMANITY will collide when JoBo and Lucifer Graves meet. Graves may have the experience and be a former world champion, but JoBo IS what ZoBo said... a ROOKIE SENSATION! And at this time, a shoe-in for Rookie of the Year! Graves had best be wary!

JR: And speaking of rookies, Flash Funk will meet Corey Major in a re-match from their TNT encounter that was hindered by various individuals! Let's see who REALLY would have won!

JR: And of course, let's not forget about the I/C title bout. Double J Jeff Jarrett, fresh off a victory over JoBo, will meet the former champion, and his former ally, the man they call VADER!!! Now here's something interesting, on the Raw the night after, Vader has signed on against a man that wants a little payback.... JOBO! JoBo and ZoBo blame Vader for their elimination from the I/C tournament back in March. What if Vader takes the gold at Qualify, will he DARE put the title on the line so soon again?

JR: Maybe we can get some answers.... or at least MORE QUESTIONS.... from Vader's manager... JAMES E. CORNETTE!

(Jim Cornette comes down the aisle. He is pestered by fans, and laughed at. Cornette gives them dirty looks, and threatens to hit them with his tennis raquet)

JR: Mr. Cornette, it's almost time. At Qualify '97, your man VADER finally gets to face Jeff Jarrett for the Intercontinental Title. What are your comments leading up to this match??

Jim: The first thing you, and all these people, have to realize is that your talking to greatness!! There has never been a manager in the WWF that has accomplished what I am in such a short time. Now you talk about Jeff Jarrett. Well listen to me PUNK! You continue to be worried with guys like Razor Ramon and Bret Hart, that you always forget about VADER. If it wasn't for President Piper, VADER probably wouldn't be getting this rematch. You wanna know why he's scared of VADER??

JR: Why is he scared?

Jim: Because it doesn't take a genious, or someone of your knowledge Jim...

(Jim ross shakes his head)

Jim: ....to realize that VADER is the true I.C. Champ. He won the 16 man tournament to become the champion, he beat the Undertaker at his own game, and he defened it like a champion.

JR: But then he lost in his first title defense...

Jim: ...did I say you could talk?? Your like a priest on Sunday, you just won't shut up!! Big deal, Jeff Jarrett hit VADER with a metal object in the knee and won the Belt, so what!!! Come Qualify '97, your gonna need more then a metal object to beat VADER. Now another think I'd like to talk about is this Sting character. What kind of a guy comes out of no where and hits people with baseball bats?? Only some psycho with makeup. You may think your tough with that bat, but VADER's even tougher. So Sting, I'm delivering to you a challenge. Any time, and place. VADER will take you apart and it'll take more then a bat to get him off ya!

JR: Thank you James E. Folks, that's it! Qualify 97! It's going to be something else! Don't you DARE miss it! Let's go now... to DEMOLITION!!!
