RESULTS: Monday Night Raw Apr. 28, 1997

DIESEL BOWLS THE CHALLENGER OVER!!! Sid is knocked back and down to his knees! Diesel hoists him up... inverts him into a SHOULDERBREAKER! Diesel then gives an INVERTED ATOMIC DROP that doubles Sid forward.... DIESEL CALLS FOR THE JACK-KNIFE!

The Road Warriors just about return to ringside.... when the Enforcers come back down again, trying to zip past the LOD and to the ring..... the Road Warriors move towards them.....

In the ring.... Diesel locks Sid.... pulls him up... JACK-KNIFE!!! Sid is planted down in the mat... and motionless!!! The fans go crazy!!!

The Road Warriors block the Enforcers, threatening them with the night-sticks again. BDC looks out at them, yelling for the Enforcers to leave.

JR: The Enforcers may not have made it to the ring, but they're distracting the champion!

Arn and Benoit retreat back as the LOD comes at them. Diesel turns... and drops down on top of Sid, hooking the leg.... the ref counts... 1...2 ... POWER OUT! SID'S FANS GO CRAZY!!! Diesel pounds his fist on the mat and sneers toward the retreating Enforcers. The Sensei tells BDC to concentrate on Sid.

Diesel picks up Sid....and Sid chops at Diesel's stomach... then ANOTHER! Psycho Sid stands up to full height.... CLOTHESLINE!!! Then... AN ELBOW BLOCK TO THE TOP OF THE HEAD!!! Diesel is driven down to his knees. Sid looks around and laughs.... hooks Diesel.....

POWERBOMB.....!!!!!! Sid pounces on top of Diesel......hooks the leg.....

JR: NEW CHAMPION!!!

The ref dives into position... 1.....2..... 3.......!!!!!! THE FANS GO CRAZY!!!!

NO! Diesel had a shoulder up! The referee signals TWO COUNT!

JR: SO CLOSE! SO CLOSE TO A NEW CHAMPION!!

Sid gets up to his knees looking at the ref, and questioning the count. Diesel stands up behind him... and Sid spins, expecting Diesel to be below him... but he's ABOVE HIM!!! Diesel puts Sid's head between his legs..... and goes for the JACK-KNIFE....

HE CAN'T LIFT HIM! Sid punches free... and stands.... CLOTHESLINE TO THE MAT! Sid covers, hooking the leg.... the ref counts... 1.... 2....

Diesel slips out the back.

JR: Another near fall! Just a half a count away from a new champion!

Both men slowly get up, the damage getting to both. The fans urge them on. Sid CHOPS Diesel across his chest so hard, he almost knocks him down. Diesel staggers a bit... AND DROPS DOWN TO ONE KNEE!!! Sid blasts him down to BOTH KNEES!!!! Psycho Sid puts on a front face lock.... hooks the tights.... VERTICAL SUPLEX!!!!! He holds Diesel COMPLETELY VERTICAL!!!

JR: HOLD ON!!! WE'RE GONNA FEEL THIS!!!

Sid falls back.... AND THE IMPACT BOUNCES BOTH MEN UP NEARLY A FOOT OFF THE MAT!!! THE FANS POP!!!

JR: MY GOD!!! A SEVEN FOOT VERTICAL SUPLEX!!! Sid's covering.....

Sid has the leg hooked.... 1... 2... 3...!!!!!! THE FANS GO CRAZY AGAIN....

JR: DID HE GET HIM!!!????

The referee stands up and calls for the bell!!!! IT'S OVER!!!

JR: HE GOT HIM!!! NEW WORLD CHAMPION!!!! PSYCHO SID HAS DONE IT!!!!

The fans are going WILD!!!! Sid jumps up and begins to jump around the ring! Diesel lays on the mat for a moment, then stands up and walks at Sid... AND GETS IN HIS FACE!!!!

Stevie: WHOOP HIS ASS!!!

Diesel extends his arm, stepping back.... AND THEY SHAKE HANDS! Diesel takes the belt from the referee, holds Sid's hand up... and gives him the belt. Then he and the Sensei leave.

Sid walks to Sarah gives her a hug that knocks the wind out of her. He then walks to the center of the ring...lay's the Title there and get's down on his knees and begins praying towards the Title. He then climbs to one of the turnbuckles and raises the Title. He then climbs down and goes to another turnbuckle and raises his Title there. Once he did this in all 4 turnbuckles he goes to the center of the ring and screams

Sid: WHO'S THE MAN ?!?

He then walks all around the ring and slaps his fans hands.

Winner, by pinfall, and NEW World Wrestling Federation Champion: Psycho Sid

Stevie: See you all at Titans, punks!!! Ax, don't forget to brush your teeth before you go to bed, mamas boy! And Nacho PUke better record all I said on your stinkin' rewind, or I'll kick your nacho butt!!! SUCKA!!!!
