RESULTS: Monday Night Raw May 28, 1997

ATLANTRA PRE-MATCH COMMENTS

Atlantra sits by a pool of water there are sharks swimming around in the pool.She puts her hand down to stroke one as it swims by her. Looking up to the camera she speaks.

Atlantra: Well future girl I guess you already know who will win this one? ( She laughs evilly) Do you morn your lose already dear? ( laughs again)If not you should! I am your cancer that you seek here( She throws back her head and laughs yet again)And let me a sure you in this match I will send you back to your future!

She strokes another Shark as it goes by and then smiles at the camera.

Atlantra: Sarah D do you care to go for another swim?( strokes yet an other shark as it swims by) My pets here are waiting for you to slip up again.(chuckles)

She winks at the camera and begins to laugh as the camera fades out.

STARR BLAZE PRE-MATCH COMMENTS

Starr swivels around in her command chair to face the camera, as bio-readouts and various footage of Atlantra play on the monitors behind her.

Starr: Well! So it looks like I get to have some first hand experience with the Queen of the Sea tonight... or as Citizen Jade would probably refer to her, the CHICKEN of the Sea. Hopefully she'll actually show up to this match rather than pasting her fishy face up on a viewscreen and cackling away. There's no evil truly as irredeemable as evil that laughs at its own evilness!

Starr pauses a moment, considering the odd phrasing of what she just said. Then just shrugs cheerfully and continues.

Starr: Fishqueen, let's get it on! And we'll see just who has the last laugh when the night is over... HIL, bring us in for a landing...

The camera fades out as Starr begins to strap herself into the chair.

The Match:
Joan Crowford by Blue Oyster Cult begins to play and the lights all go out leaving the crowd in darkness for a few minutes. Then A green spotlight comes up on the ring post! Atlantra stands on top of the post dressed in her blue-green jump suit and holding her trident in her right hand . She swings the trident and laughs evilly then watches the entrance way waiting for the girl from the future with a smile on her face.

The countdown, as lights swirl throughout the arena. "5... 4... 3... 2... 1..."... the rocket takeoff SHAKES the building and smoke billows out of the entry way, and Starr Blaze comes jogging down the aisle to her techno music, waving and clasping hands with the fans. She stops to sign the SPACE RANGERS! poster of a bright-eyed little boy and ruffles his hair, taking a bit of time to give him some advice about growing up a good citizen of Earth. Then she grins, knuckles him under the chin gently and continues down to the ring stairs....

Atlantra leaps from the top rope to the outside and NAILS Starr Blaze with her trident!!! Blaze is knocked back and Atlantra is all over her!!! Blaze hooks her legs around Atlantra's leg... DROP TOE HOLD TO THE MAT OUTSIDE!!!

Blaze circles around behind Atlantra and as she gets up... she BOOTS HER... in the REAR!!! Blaze shakes her finger at Atlantra, scolding her... then she leaps up... and spins over in the air, catching Atlantra's! head between her ankles and continues the powerful twist to FLIP Atlantra over sideways and crashing down!!!

JR: WHAT A MOVE! If Vincer were here, he'd ask what that was called... and I couldn't TELL HIM!

Blaze rolls Atlantra in the ring. They both get to their feet. Blaze leaps up into the air... and hits the move again... but to the OPPOSITE DIRECTION!!! THE FANS POP, seeing the move again!!!

Blaze kips up to her feet and then does a no-hands cartwheel! She licks her finger and 'chalks' up two points in the air as she grins! The fans are going wild for her!

Double J: I asked Starr Blaze in the back how my movies were gonna do, seeing as how she's from the future. Bus she said something about not being able to tell 'cause of the space/time continuum and paradoxes or something! I think she's been hittin' the ol' bottle too often though! Ha Ha Ha!

Atlantra rushes up behind Blaze... and axehandles her down. Atlantra heads to the ropes... leaps up in the corner and dives back off at Blaze. Starr kips up and gets to safety, watching Atlantra crash unceremoniously down in the middle of the ring.

Atlantra is yanked up to her feet. Blaze begins to wrap on.... an abdominal stretch... but catches a thumb to the eye, breaking the move. Blaze drop toe holds Atlantra, then flips over her with a hamstring pull.

Blaze walks away from Atlantra and winks at the audience, jerking a thumb back over her shoulder...

Starr: Look what I caught!

Atlantra gets up angrily and rushes to Blaze's back. Starr turns at the last second.. and brings up a swift kick to Atlantra's face. Atlantra retaliates by raking Blaze in the face... then pushing her back to the ropes... and THROUGH THE ROPES!!! Both wrestlers tumble to the outside!!!

Atlantra pulls up Blaze by the hair... and rushes her toward the steel barricade...
