RESULTS: Monday Night Raw May 5, 1997

The camera comes back from the commercial break. Perfect has on an armlock that he uses to twist Taylor around so they are back to back. Perfect lets go... grabs his head... REVERSE NECKBREAKER!!! Fans cheer! Some other fans chant WCW! WCW! WCW!!!

Perfect looks around... and Taylor looks OUT! Perfect moves in and begins to set for the Perfect Plex. Taylor reacts quickly, putting his head under Perfect's chin... and DROPPING DOWN INTO A JAWBREAKER!!! Perfect instantly goes up, holding his face. Moments later... blood trickles out of Perfect's mouth!

Tony: He got him good with THAT move!

Taylor hooks Perfect's arms behind his back, doubling him toward him.

Tony: It's not the Pearl River Plunge... it's the Stock Market Crash!

Taylor flexes... but Perfect frees an arm and does a single leg take down on Taylor, coming up with the leg... and HAMSTRING PULLING IT!!! Taylor is flipped up to his feet, where he is wrenched into a standing side headlock. Taylor wraps his arms around Perfect's waist and lifts him up for a belly to back suplex....

Perfect flips over and lands on his feet behind Taylor... and CATCHES HIM IN A FULL NELSON!!! He lifts Taylor's feet up off the mat.... let's go of the move... and DRIVES HIM DOWN SHOULDERS AND BACK FIRST!!!

Larry: I don't even know whatcha CALL THAT!

Tony: It's like a Reverse double underhook power bomb!

Larry: How is it YOU can figure this out... when I was the wrestler?

Perfect stands up over Taylor and looks around. More and more fans start cheering for Perfect. Madusa has a big smile on her face. Perfect looks down at Taylor... and he looks out of it again!

Larry: Is he playin' possum again?

Perfect pulls him up to his feet, doubling him forward. He is ready for the Perfect Plex. Taylor ISN'T out of it! He's fidgeting with his wristband... unravelling something!

Tony: What does he have?

Larry: It's some kind of STRAP!

Perfect: NOW YOU'RE GONNA SEE... A PERFECT PLEX!

Taylor throws the strap around behind Perfect without him seeing it. He catches it in his other hand. Perfect hooks him... grabs the leg.... and PERFECT PLEXES HIM!!! The ref drops down... 1.... 2....

Taylor pulls the strap... and it takes Perfect's legs out, breaking the count!!! Madusa tries to point the strap to the referee... but Taylor quickly wraps it back around his wrist. The fans boo! Perfect stands up behind Taylor... grabs his head... and DROPS HIM FACE FIRST TO THE MAT!

Larry: Perfect KNOWS! He KNOWS something's not right!

Tony: Is that LEGAL? Can Taylor USE a weapon in a finishing manever match?

Larry: SURE! Why not? Taylor's crafty... he thinks of these things!

Perfect yanks up Taylor and prepares for a piledriver! Taylor flails away and lands a punch that doubles Perfect over! Taylor front facelocks him... hooks the leg....

Larry: HE'S GOIN' FOR IT!!!

Perfect hooks Taylor's leg and takes him down! He wraps on a spinning toe hold, regaining the advantage. Taylor reaches the ropes, forcing the break.

Taylor gets to his feet a little faster then Perfect... and rushes him with a double axehandle. Perfect gets under Taylor... and BACKDROPS him up and over! Taylor crashes down.. and Perfect grabs him... pauses.... hooks him..... PERFECT PLEX!!!

The ref drops down... 1... 2... PERFECT LOSES HIS BALANCE AGAIN!

Tony: It's that STRAP again!!!

Larry: I didn't see a thing!

But the ref DOES!!! He holds on to the one end of the strap... and Taylor's eyes go wide!!! The ref yanks the strap off of Taylor's arms... as Perfect GRABS HIM!!! The fans start cheering loudly!!! Perfect pulls him in... PILEDRIVER!!!! Taylor looks out!!!

Tony: He may NOT be playing possum THIS time!!

Larry: I dont' know! Perfect's going for the Perfect Plex....!!!

Perfect hooks him.... and NAILS IT!!!! The fans POP!!!! The ref drops down... 1... 2... 3...!!!!!!!

Winner, by pinfall: Mr. Perfect

Madusa joins Perfect in the ring..... and holds his hand up! The fans give a loud reception for Mr. Perfect! He looks to the camera and mouths the words... 'Bret... that's one down! You're UP!' He smiles at the camera and nods as he and Madusa turn and leave!
