After the break, the action is still going!!! Sting has pulled the Warrior up into a BOW AND ARROW!!! Sting pulls the arms back, adding damage to the Warrior's softened back. Sting then releases quickly and drives an elbow between the shoulderblades of the Warrior.
The champion falls onto his stomach. Sting grabs a hold of both legs... and sits back with a FULL BOSTON CRAB!!! The referee gets into position to check for a submission... but the Warrior screams out... NO!!!!!
The Warrior presses both fists down into the mat and pushes up, starting to break. He shakes his head and starts going WILD!!! The fans start rallying with him. Sting quickly lets go... and hits a DROP PUNCH on the back!!! The Warrior slumps back down.
JR: Sting is using his head. Just as the Warrior was building momentum, Sting took it from him!
Roxanne: And for all their years together, I'm sure Sting knows exactly the whens and hows of the Warrior's attack!
Sting forgoes the crab and starts back with kneedrops on the lower back... then a HAMSTRING pull on the leg! Sting hits the rope and comes off... LEAPS IN THE AIR.... NOBODY HOME!!! The Warrior manages to roll aside!!! He gets to the ropes and starts SHAKING THEM WILDLY!!!
Roxanne: Stinger better hit the defense now... THE WARRIOR IS GETTING READY TO EXPLODE!!!
Sting rushes in at the Warrior and CHOPS at his lower back... NO EFFECT!! The Warrior blasts off of the ropes with a CLOTHESLINE!!! He hits the opposite and comes back... ANOTHER CLOTHESLINE!!! THE WARRIOR FANS ARE ON THEIR FEET!!!
The Warrior pulls Sting up.... GORILLA PRESS SLAM!!!! He splashes down onto the challenger!!! The ref counts... 1... 2...
KICKOUT!!! THE STING FANS GO CRAZY!!!!!
JR: Can you BELIEVE how Sting must feel! His body must be ACHING!!
Roxanne: Last night with the Sid altercation... the Giant before that....
The Warrior stands up and pulls Sting to him... PILEDRIVER!!! The Warrior hits the ropes.... WARRIOR SPLASH!!! He hooks BOTH legs this time. The ref is in position... 1... 2.... KICKOUT!!! HIS FANS CHEER AGAIN!!
JR: We could go ALL NIGHT!!!
The Warrior again pulls Sting up... sets for a VERTICAL SUPLEX... he holds him straight up in the air, inverted... but drops down...INTO A BRAINBUSTER!!! THE FANS GASP!!!
The Warrior covers... 1... 2.... 3...!!!!! THE PLACE ERUPTS!!! The Warrior's music starts to play and the Warrior helps Sting to his feet and pats him on the shoulder! He then takes his belt and holds it up to the fans!!!
Howard Finkel: THE WINNER... and STILL Intercontinental Champion... THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR!!!
Sting leans against the ropes, soaking in the loss. He pulls himself out of the ring with Rick Rude, and leaves, looking dejected.
Roxanne: Sting feels bad... but his time will come. That was a strong showing.
JR: A valiant effort... but the day belongs to the Warrior!!! And Roxanne.... A TITLE MATCH... WHERE THE TITLE DIDN'T CHANGE HANDS!!
Roxanne: That's not a common thing around this fed anymore! The competition level is THAT high!!!
The Warrior celebrates up in the ring as TNT goes to commercial break.
