Shawn lunges forward... but JoBo falls back AWAY from the kick!! Shawn comes down off balance... and JoBo lunges forward at him... FOREARM SMASH!! He picks up Michaels... SPINNING PILEDRIVER...

JR: THE MIRNYY DRIVER!!!

Bam Bam: He may have him.....

JoBo covers him. The ref hits...1... 2... MICHAELS HAS HIS FOOT ON THE ROPES!!

JR: Too close to the ropes!

Bam Bam: He needs ZOBO to tell him these things!

JoBo presses him back down. The ref hits again... 1... Shawn puts his foot on the ropes again.

JR: Rookie mistake!

Bam Bam: JoBo is so good, we tend to forget he's only a ROOKIE!

JoBo sits up, frustrated! He chops Shawn in the face, then lifts him up to his feet. JoBo pulls Shawn to the center of the ring...

JR: Shawn looks almost OUT! All that weight he's been carrying for those pin attempts!!

Bam Bam: It ain't easy to BREATHE like that!

JoBo pulls Shawn up... MIRNYY DRIVER!!! IN THE CENTER!!!! JoBo drops down on top... hooks BOTH legs.... 1... 2.... 3....!!! THE FANS CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!

JR: I can't BELIEVE IT!!!

Bam Bam: JOBO DID IT!!!

JoBo's music plays and he stands up and yells out... FOR ZOBO!!! He climbs from the ring and heads out. Many fans are cheering for him.

Shawn rolls from the ring, obviously disgusted. He takes a moment to catch his breath, then slams his hands down on the mat. He turns to talk to Sarah D for a few moments, then they walk out.

JR: Shawn has got to feel bad. But he gave a GREAT match. JoBo was just TOO MUCH tonight!

Bam Bam: I wonder how the big guy will fare in later rounds. He's at a disadvantage with his weight AND his injuries!

JR: And he has to face a man that WILL exploit those injures in the SEMI-FINALS... STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN!!!

Bam Bam: (realizing) That's RIGHT! We have a match SET! Semi-Final action... Stone Cold against JoBo!

JR: It might seem like a mis-match at first... but not many people probably gave him a chance against SHAWN!

Bam Bam: I don't think it's a mis-match at ALL! This JoBo is a rising STAR! I like his STYLE!

JR: It's time to move to the OTHER bracket now... and up next, it's Sting and Stevie Ray! Let's head backstage and hear from STING!

STING PRE-MATCH COMMENTS

Sting is shown sitting in the back. His head is down, and the shot is in black and white.

Sting: For the better part of a year, I couldn't stand to look people in the face. I couldn't even look at myself in the mirror. I played second fiddle to Ric Flair in the Horsemen. I carried myself like a theif in the night, who flew down and attacked from behind. I got no respect from others. I had no self respect.

Sting: But since then, The Stinger has come out of his shell. I've been trying to get back the respect that I once had. The respect of a man who's athletic gifts impressed people worldwide. The respect of a man who came out and told people exactly what was on his mind. And tonight, at the King of the Ring, my respect will be earned back.

Sting: Regardless of how far I go in the tournament ... and no matter what happens in between, I will put forth an effort like has never before been seen. Win ... lose ... or draw, I will come out of that ring tonight with my respect, my dignity, and with the support of the fans all over the world.

Rick Rude appears in the shot behind Sting.

Rude: Stinger! Let's go!

Sting raises his head up, and the screen changes to a color shot.

Sting: And tonight ... when I leave that ring, I will do so as the King of the World Wrestling Federation ... and as the reigning Television Champion. The Stinger's time has come. I'm ready ... and I hope that everybody else is! OWWWWWWWWWWW!!

Sting is shown walking around backstage, preparing for his match. Brutus Beefcake and the Ultimate Warrior are there, as is Rick Rude.

Just then, there is a loud CRASH near the interview area! Rick Rude wheels around, ready for anything. The Warrior and Brutus head over to see what's going on....
