QUARTER-FINALS: INTERCONTINENTAL TOURNAMENT
Vader
w/Jim Cornette
vs.
Sting

The Match:
Vader is introduced first! He comes through with Jim Cornette, carrying a chair and looking around for any attacks. He gets into the ring, throwing the chair to the outside. Cornette gets into his corner.

Sting is then introduced... but he doesn't come through the curtains! Where is he? The fans look around! The cameramen swing the cameras up to the lights in the rafters... where Sting is lowered down on a harness! He lands in the ring behind Vader... who turns and PUNCHES HIM!!!

Double J, then comes down the aisle, shaking his head at Sting. He stands over next to Cornette. Sting dropkicks Vader! He then climbs to the top rope... MISSILE DROPKICK! Vader doesn't go down! Sting leaps up and hits a kick to the back of the head... VADER DOESN'T DROP!

Sting bounces off the ropes and hits a kneelift in Vader's chest! Still he doesn't drop! Double J makes himself visible to Sting, as he hooks on the Stinger Death Drop! Sting stares down at Jarrett for just a second... long enough for Vader to escape... and CLOTHESLINE Sting! Vader begins to hit massive forearm shots that blast Sting back into the corner, and when he can go no further... Vader locks up... BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX!!!!

Vader pulls Sting up and sets him up for the Tombstone! But Sting hits a forearm uppercut... then stands up. He wraps on the Reverse DDT again... and drops... BUT VADER DOESN'T GO DOWN! Sting looks up at Vader and pops up to his feet! Vader growls at Sting...then CLOTHESLINES HIM! Sting flies back into the corner....

Vader runs at him... AVALANCHE IN THE CORNER! NO! Sting leaps up and dropkicks Vader as he rushes in! Sting pushes VADER back into the corner... backs up... runs at him.... STINGER SPLASH!!! But Vader STILL won't go down!

Sting goes up to the top rope... FLYING AXEHANDLE!!! Vader drops to one knee! Sting goes back for the Death Drop again... and Double J starts yelling out at Sting, distracting him. Vader throws a wild punch that nails Sting in the kidneys. Sting backs up, clutching his side. Vader runs at him, driving him back into the corner... AVALANCHE!!!!! Sting goes down! Vader climbs up to the second rope... BIG SPLASH!!!! He covers... 1... 2... kickout!

Vader gets up quickly. Sting rolls away and rises up... then runs at Vader... leaps....VADER CATCHES HIM... POWERSLAM!!! Vader covers again... 1... 2... kickout! Vader gets up again.... and goes to the first rope... the second rope... ALL THE WAY UP! Vader flips back... MOONSAULT!!!!

Vader gets up. Cornette and Jarrett are motioning 'ONE MORE TIME!' Vader goes up to the top rope... FLIPS OFF... MOONSAULT... ON TOP OF STING'S RAISED KNEES!!!!

Sting and Vader both get to their feet. Sting backs up... a little more hurt then Vader. Vader looks around... gets his bearings... and sees Sting. Vader drops down in a three-point stance... rushes in like a raging bull... FOOTBALL TACKLE!! Sting splatters across the mat! Vader climbs to the top again... MOONSAULT!!!! Vader hooks the leg... 1... 2... 3...!

Winner, by pinfall: Vader

Double J rolls into the ring... grabs Sting... BLACKJACK! The fans POP! Vader's music starts to play and all three leave the ring, with Sting motionless in the center.
