DOUBLE J, JEFF JARRETT
Jim Ross: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time . . . "Double J" Jeff Jarrett!
Double J's country theme plays, as Jarrett makes his way down the aisle in his blinking outfit. Double J slaps a few hands, and climbs into the ring, where the musical notes are flashing on the ring. Jarrett motions for Ross to step aside as he does his strut down the middle of the ring, raising his arms and laughing at the end. Jarrett gets a good response from the fans.
Ross: Double J, this past week on Raw, we saw you and Sting continue this battle betweeen the two of you, as Sting hit you with a bat right upside the head after your tag match with Vader, and then you jumped Sting in the aisle following his interview. We now know that you will meet Sting at WrestleMania on the Free-For-All, in what could be the best pure wrestling match of the night. What are your thoughts, with WrestleMania just over a week away?
Double J: Ha Ha Ha! Jim Ross, the way I see it, Sting has been nothing more than a cancer on the WWF as of late! Nobody needs him, and he doesn't contribute anything but to jump someone from behind. He stands up in the rafters and holds his bat like he's tough, but apparently those toxic fumes from his face paint have gotten to him! Sting, you jumped me from behind right here last week, and dropped me on my head. And when I hit my head, I realized a few things! I realized that Sting was a coward, and wouldn't be man enough to confront me face to face! And I realized that it's time that the cancer that is Sting be cut off from the WWF for good! And at WrestleMania, with Pam Anderson there in my corner, Double J is gonna go in, take Sting down, and make sure that he doesn't spread on to any other parts of the WWF!
(The fans pop for that, cheering.)
Jim Ross: Double J, you've been back in the WWF for about two weeks. In that time, you have wasted no time and have gone right against the best in the WWF. You started with the Undertaker on Raw. Then, here last week, you took on the WWF Champion Diesel. This past week on Raw, you and Vader met former WWF Tag Team Champions The Hart Foundation. In each of those matches, you gave a five star performance against the WWF's best. But also in each match, you had your shoulders pinned to the mat for the 3 count. Why can't you seem to get a break?
Double J: JR, I've done plenty of thinking on that subject. I've tried to figure out just what it is that keeps me from beating the best. And I think I've figured out the reason, and it's led me to a decision. After WrestleMania is done, and the dust has settled, I am going to make an announcement to the WWF that might surprise some people. I'm not going to elaborate on it any further, but I feel it is what's best for my career, the WWF, and the public as of right now.
(The fans murmur in wonderment.)
Ross: Well, we certainly await that announcement. Finally, when the dust has cleared from WrestleMania, as you said, what are your plans here in the WWF? What will you be looking for, as far as competition is concerned?
Double J: Well, assuming that I get everything taken care of with Sting, my number 1 priority is to get my well deserved title shot. Diesel said last week that it was time to find out if I was really deserving, or just someone with a big mouth. And I'll bet you that after that match, even Diesel would come out here and say that I am no pretender. The winner of the Intercontinental Title tournament will have Double J knocking at his door, no matter who it is! I'd like another shot at Diesel, with the title on the line this time! I still want a one-on-one match with Bret Hart! If Ric Flair is still around after WrestleMania, I want a shot at him! That punk The Blizzard, who has resorted to beating on announcers now that he's realized that he can't beat any wrestlers, I'd give him another match if he thinks he's ready to face some REAL competition. I'm looking for anyone that will give me a challenge, JR! Mr. Perfect, The Giant, Derrick Stardom, Randy Savage, they're all on the list. The bottom line is that whoever I face, and whatever I do, the fans of the WWF can tune in and know FOR A FACT that they're in for a show when Double J is on! Sting . . . get your bat shined up real pretty, and make sure your face paint is on straight! I got a date with you at WrestleMania . . . which is only a PRELUDE to my date with Pam!! Ha Ha Ha! So long, folks!
Jarrett's music begins again, as he does his strut down center ring, and then climbs out and heads for the back, smacking a few hands. Fans begin to put their hands out to slap back. As he leaves, the fans give him a pretty good response. He continues up the aisle... and standing at the top of it... STING!
Jarrett runs up the aisle at Sting, and they begin to hook it up! Jarrett lands a punch... then an axehandle! He then kicks Sting and pulls him in for the BlackJack! Sting spins around and tries for the Reverse DDT! Neither of them get anywhere! They fall to the mat with Jarrett on top, pounding Sting in the face! Jarrett is rolled underneath and Sting comes up swinging! Security and officials come out and seperate the two!
