RESULTS: Monday Night Raw Apr. 21, 1997

Roxanne steps back away from the monitors with wide eyes and a gaping mouth. She looks SHOCKED! Dok looks at her with a worried look on his face. He fumbles for words. Roxanne slowly begins to look around, as if searching for the answer somewhere in the room.

Dok: Well..... Corey IS a grown man... he CAN make his own decisions... he...

Roxanne: OH NO!!!! I scared him AWAY from SUNNY... and INTO SABRINA'S ARMS!!!!

Dok: Wellll... only if you read the inuendos in that... I mean... welllll.....

Roxanne: I've got to go talk to him! He's in DANGER!

Roxanne begins to move out of the room...

Roxanne: HENDRIKS! Book me on a flight to Ohio!

Roxanne disappears around the corner. Dok begins to pick up the phone... then stops, realizing that he's not Roxanne's travel agent.

Roxanne: (yelling out of view) JUST DO IT!!!!

Dok jumps with a startled look... and he picks up the phone and begins to call...

QUALIFY: 97 REPORT

Jim Ross is down at the broadcasters table. The camera has zoomed in and cropped to just include him in the picture along with a King of the Ring logo. Beneath it appear the words.... QUALIFY 97.

JR: Howdy folks! On the internet and on the hotlines, the rumors about the next big card have been floating around. And folks... it WILL happen! The next big card will be in Rochester New York on May the 4th... and it will have on it some of the qualifying matches for this years King of the Ring tournament to be held in June.

JR: But aside from the initial round of the tournament, we will also see some titles on the line. First... the Road Warriors, the Legion of Doom... Hawk... and Animal... the POLICEMEN of the World Wrestling Federation, will put their UNIFIED World Tag Team Titles on the line against their Mega Power stablemates... the Hart Foundation, who stepped aside last month and allowed the Road Warriors to move on and defeat the Harlem Heat for the gold.

JR: Also on this card, we will see, the Intercontinental Title on the LINE! The winner of tonights bout will face the former champion VADER at Qualify: 97, LIVE on the NBC network! Folks, could you imagine if JoBo and Vader hooked it up? ZoBo blames Vader for keeping his man, JoBo out of the tournament, by interfering in his match with the Undertaker during the I/C tournament! JoBo and ZoBo could get a little revenge!

JR: OR, it could be Double J facing his former partner and ally Vader AGAIN! Jarrett beat him on the debut of TNT to take the title just a week and a half removed from Vader's winning it. Jim Cornette petitioned Titan Tower for a re-match... and Double J agreed to it. Should Double J be successful here tonight, he will carry the gold into the next big Supercard and defend it against Vader!

JR: And of course, we will have SIX Qualifying matches for the King of the Ring Tournament. The remaining ONE will be held the following night on Monday Night Raw. It will all pave the way to the King of the Ring Pay-Per-View in June!

JR: Now the names are still being finalized for this event. But we have heard rumors floating around. We may see the likes of Bret the Hitman Hart... Stone Cold Steve Austin.... the Ultimate Warrior... Sting....Razor Ramon... and others.And defending his crown and automatically qualified into the second round, it will be KING Daddy Cool, Diesel!
