RESULTS: Monday Night Raw Apr. 28, 1997

BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX!!! The fans go nuts as the Anvil rises up again, laughing. Todd walks over to the announcer's table and puts the bat in front of Pillman.

Todd: Get ready. You've got a suprise tonight.

Pillman looks down at the bat... and laughs. He starts rubbing his hands together.

Hawk and Animal start coming around the corner, toward the table. Hawk growls at Todd, who turns tail and runs around the ring. Animal starts over toward Pillman, who starts clutching the bat.

JR: Brian... now calm down!

Sarah: Here comes Sabrina Savage!

Hawk chases Todd out as the Anvil DROP DDTS Smash! He tags the Hitman who goes up to the top. Neidhart holds Smash down into place... and the Hitman DIVES OFF... ELBOWDROP!!!

At the table, Pillman stands up, getting in Animal's face. He's holding the bat... and Animal brings up his night-stick. They look ready to go... but Sabrina comes down... AND GETS BETWEEN THEM! She tries to pull the bat from Pillman... but he won't give it up....

She motions for him to go... and he pauses a second... then starts backing up, holding the bat. Sabrina walks out with him. Animal is joined by Hawk, and the two of them point them back to the dressing rooms.

JR: I gotta say.. I LIKE having the Road Warriors here!

The Hitman drapes Smash's leg on the bottom rope... and STOMPS ON IT! He pulls Smash up into a suplex position.. but is punched in the mid-section... then whipped hard into the Demolition corner. Ax holds the Hitman there as Smash runs in....

AVALANCHE SPLASH!!! The Hitman stumbles out of the corner, clutching his chest and is gasping for air! Smash tags Ax and the two of them run at the Hitman with their arms outstretched....

The Hitman gets his arms up and breaks through the double clothesline... and WRAPS A SLEEPER ON AX!!! Smash regains his wits... and axehandles Bret in the back, then is put out by a warning-issuing referee!

JR: John Pinnette is earning his stripes in this match!

Ax takes control, grabbing the Hitman by the head... and tossing him out of the ring on Smash's side. The referee turns and warns Ax... who argues back, tying the ref up! Jim Cornette directs traffic, and Smash listens, dropping down and grabbing the Hitman by the head... and driving him into the steel guardrail! The Hitman stumbles around, holding his head, and Cornette motions for Smash to get back to his corner...

Bret slides back into the ring at the mercy of Ax. Ax pulls him up into a SIDE SUPLEX, then gets on top of him with a two-handed choke! The referee gets down and starts counting on the choke, threatening to disqualify Demolition. Ax gets up and makes like he'll strike the ref... but doesn't.

Bret rolls across the mat.. and tags in the Anvil, who jumps OVER the ropes and rushes at Ax......SHOULDERBLOCK... THEN A POWERSLAM.... A LEG DROP.... THEN A BELLY TO BELLY!!! The Anvil stands over Ax and holds his hands over his head....

Anvil: YEAH, BABY!!!!!!!!!

He turns back to Ax and leans over to pull him up... and is thumbed in the eye! Ax uses this to get to his feet and circle in behind the Anvil. Neidhart reverses and goes behind Ax... BELLY TO BACK SUPLEX!!! The Anvil pops up again to a NOISY ovation from the fans. He reaches out and tags in the Hitman... and they set for the Hart ATTACK!!!

JR: They're going for it!!! They're looking to finish it!

Sarah: But they had better beware... it's Owen... and the Bulldog!!!

Owen and the Bulldog come halfway down the aisle, and are stopped by the Road Warriors. Clarence Mason is with them. Clarence threatens the Road Warriors with legal action if they attack with their nightsticks. Owen yells at Hawk to back off... and the Bulldog just rears his head back and stares at Animal, who stares back.

In the ring, the Anvil lifts up Ax.... Bret runs in... CLOTHESLINE!!! THE HART ATTACK!!! Smash comes in... and the Anvil AXEHANDLES HIM!!! Bret covers... 1... 2... AX IS CHOKING BRET!!! The count stops... and the referee tries to get Ax to break the choke... and he finally does!

Ax stands up and the referee gets in front of him.

John Pinnete: Knock if off... or I'll DQ YA!

Ax sidesteps the ref... and tags in Smash. The fans start pounding their feet...and chanting for the Hitman... BRET! BRET! BRET! BRET! BRET! Cornette waves his racket in the air, trying to get the fans to SHUT UP! But they get louder... and louder..... and LOUDER!! And as Smash gets over the Hitman.... BRET RESPONDS TO THE FANS....
