QUALIFY 97 REPORT

Jim Ross gets up into the ring holding the mic. The large video screen comes alive and shows the King of the Ring logo and the words Qualify 97.

JR: Howdy folks! Jim Ross here... for your Qualify 97 Report! It's this coming Sunday from Rochester, LIVE on NBC! It's the big build-up to the King of the Ring Pay-per-view in June and it will have on it all but ONE of the first round bouts for the tournament. The only match that it will NOT have is the Bret Hart vs. Sting Finishing Maneuver match. That will be held right here on Raw NEXT WEEK!

JR: As you know, that night, the Hart Foundation will try to repeat as World Tag Team Champions... their opposition, the Unified Champs, the Road Warriors. The LOD are coming off a hard fought battle with Demolition and will face the Enforcers tomorrow night... and right here TONIGHT, it will be the Hart Foundation in action against Ax and Smash. The Harts and the Road Warriors are at the top of their game and are looking UNBEATABLE! Folks, at Qualify, one of those teams COULD be defeated!

JR: The tournament will feature some great matches, and some grudges may be settled as well! We've got Sid and the Giant! And the winner will face Big Daddy Cool! After tonight, we could have a new world champion! These three big bulls are the heavy favorites to be the World Champion as this point in time. When it's all said and done, just WHO will be the one to come out on top!?

JR: Let's get some words from some of the participants in the tournament now.

The lights dim down and the video wall comes alive.

COREY MAJOR INTERVIEW

Dok Hendriks is out in the back of the arena where the wrestlers entryway is. Fans have gathered around to see the wrestlers as they come in and leave. The girls scream as Corey Major comes up to Dok. He blushes a bit, then smiles at them, waving his hand.

Dok: Corey Major! What a win you had on Superstars! Over a guy that has TWICE beat you up from behind... Diamond Dallas Page!

Corey: And isn't it POETIC justice that HE got hurt before the match! Dok, I'm still just a rookie... I'm still not at the top of my game... but I'm gettin' better!

Dok: That you ARE! And this coming Sunday, you're in one of the Qualifying Matches against Flash Funk!

Corey: Flash, you and I 'danced' on TNT a couple weeks back in Germany. But I was pretty wrecked up coming into that match. Well, dude, I KNOW you don't take me lightly, and this time, at Qualify 97, if I enter the match healthy, I'm lookin' to give you a little more of a fight! But Dok, this dude seems pretty cool... and I doubt he really would WANT IT any other way!

Dok: You're probably RIGHT! Corey good luck in that match. I'll let you get in there... and after the Pay-Per-View report, I've got some questions to ask you about Sabrina!

Corey: No prob, Dok.

Corey slaps Dok a high-five, then walks along the fans, slapping their hands and letting the girls kiss him and give him hugs.

Dok: Let's now hear from some OTHER participants in Qualify 97!

JOBO AND ZOBO

ZoBo: Qualify '97. My JoBo faces another big man known as Lucifer Graves. Mr. Graves, you may be a former World Champion but my JoBo is a rookie sensation. He will deliver a Mirnyy Driver to you, and you will lose.

JoBo: Lucifer. JoBo beat you. JoBo become King of the Ring. ZoBo happy. JoBo happy. JoBo win Intercontinental Belt. JoBo really happy.

ZoBo: Don't think we havn't forgotten about you Jeff Jarrett. My JoBo will get another chance at the gold. In due time.
