The Match:
The cage lowers almost completely down to the ring, leaving just enough room for the wrestlers to climb in underneath.The Giant comes out first... with Todd and Terry Taylor! They reach ringside... and the Giant sends them away, then he slides into the ring and begins shaking the cage, testing it's strength.
JR: The Giant seems concerned about the cage's strength... you don't think....?
Heart Attack: That he'll go UP the cage!?
Sarah: I don't think it could TAKE THAT!
Shawn Michaels is introduced next! He comes dancing down the aisle by himself, slapping hands as his music plays over the speakers. He removes his jewelry and accessories and slides into the ring... and the cage CLAMPS SHUT!! The bell sounds!!!
JR: This is IT!!! The MAIN EVENT!!!
Shawn opens with a Karate KICK to the Giant that staggers him. Shawn goes to the corner... and climbs the cage... all the way to the TOP!!
JR: Just a word to the fans... the idea is to defeat your opponent as usual. You do NOT have to escape from the cage! Not in THIS WWF!
Shawn LEAPS OFF THE TOP OF THE CAGE... AND CLOTHESLINES THE GIANT!!! The Giant teeters... but doesn't go down! Shawn goes BACK up to the top... and leaps again.... SHOULDERBLOCK... THE GIANT GOES DOWN!!!
Shawn goes back to the corner... and goes to the top again!
JR: He's got a game plan!!!
Sarah: It's RISKY!!!
Shawn leaps at the prone Giant from nearly 20' feet in the air... ON TO THE GIANT'S UPRAISED LEGS!!!! The Giant rises up as Shawn is doubled over, holding his rib-cage. He takes Shawn by the head... and DRIVES him into the steel!!! He gets under Shawn... scoops him up... AND BODY SLAMS HIM INTO THE CAGE!!! The cage BARELY holds together!!!
The Giant wraps up Shawn's legs in the ropes, upside down... and stomps repeated on him with his full weight!!! Shawn sits up and frees his legs... then pulls himself up onto the ropes in the corner, bracing himself against the cage. The Giant tries to take the leg out from under Shawn... but Shawn nimbly jumps over his arm.
Shawn starts to walk along the ropes against the cage... and the Giant slams up a DOUBLE AXEHANDLE that pushes Shawn INTO the cage!!! His HEAD slams into one of the steel links HARD!!! Shawn flips back into the ring... and the Giant starts stomping on him in the corner against the steel and the post!!! The Giant ties up Shawn again in the ropes.... and climbs up to the second rope... then to the top....and he starts to mount the CAGE!!!!
JR: OH NO!!! HE'S GOING UP!!! TO THE TOP!!!!
The Giant balances himself... ON THE TOP OF THE CAGE!!! Shawn Michaels is below him, tied up in the corner. The Giant... DROPS DOWN ...
