KICKOUT! Sting pushes Corey off and starts to get to his feet. Major is up first... he hooks the neck... REVERSE NECKBREAKER!!!
JR: Our first NEAR FALL of the match! Corey is looking good!
Corey pulls up Sting into A MILLION DOLLAR DREAM!!! He looks out at Ted DiBiase. Ted jots something down into his folder. Mero and Luger watch the match.
Sting reaches the ropes and the hold is broken. Corey backs up. Sting moves in at him.... pulls him up into a slam... but drops him down across his knee instead! He holds on to him... lifts him up... BODY SLAM!!! Corey clenches at his back in pain.
Slick and Wild Chylde watch on from opposite sides of the ring. Wild Chylde keeps a close eye on her father... and also Lex and Mero.
Sting GUT WRENCHES Corey into a suplex, then sends him for the ride... he sets.... COREY COMES OFF WITH A SLEEPER! Sting drops down out of it. Corey swings around... DROP DDT!!!
JR: I've got to say... this match is much more competitive then I THOUGHT it would be!!!
The two come up to their feet. Corey backs up from Sting... then moves at him. Sting pulls him up off his feet... and turns him down into A POWERSLAM!!! Sting comes up, shaking the arm that Major had been working on. Meanwhile, Corey's lower back is in a world of hurt!
Sting brings Corey up to his feet... and pulls him forward for a power bomb. Major drops down to his knees to counter, then grabs at Sting's softened arm... and YANKS it down into an armwringer. Sting backs up, shaking the arm. Corey stalks in at him... and wraps it around his own arm for an armbar.
Sting doubles forward in pain... and Major releases the armbar.... and HITS A NECKBREAKER! Corey looks around at the fans, happy with himself. He pouces down on Sting, perhaps for a cover. Sting gets a boot up and pushes Major back... then rushes at him.
Corey does a go-behind on Sting, pulling his hurt arm with him. He bends the arm around. Sting tries to spin around to face Major... but is bent forward toward Corey. Major hooks BOTH arms behind Sting's back... DOUBLE UNDERHOOK POWERBOMB!!!
Sting is sent for the ride after that and Corey sets in the middle of the ring, ready for the Tilt-a-whirl. Sting jumps and pushes through Corey's awaiting arms and hits the ropes on the far side. Corey waits... hooks him... and HITS AN ARMDRAG TAKEDOWN!!! Sting LANDS ON HIS FEET!! Corey is taken by suprise... then taken up into a BODYSLAM!!!
Sting backs up into the ropes and runs at Corey, who struggles to his feet. Corey gets his senses back at the last second... hooks the unrushing Sting... IN THE TILT-A-WHIRL SLAM!!!
Vincer: Impressive! There seems to be no END to the array of moves in wrestling! What was THAT called!?
Heart Attack & Sarah D: The Tilt-a-Whirl Slam!
Major falls backwards into the ropes, catching his breath as Sting is flat on his back. Major moves in slowly, holding his back. He grabs one of Sting's legs... and spins it around in a toehold. He spins it on hard... then releases it back. He hooks BOTH legs... and SLINGSHOTS HIM INTO THE CORNER!!!
Sting comes bouncing back into Corey's arms... and into a REVERSE NECKBREAKER!! The two wrestlers hit the mat... and rest there for a moment.
JR: What a match! The time limit must be drawing near for these two! It'd be a travesty to NOT have a winner.
Corey gets up to his feet. Sting gets to his. Corey and Sting lock up... and the Stinger digs deep... and BODY SLAMS Corey down. He pounces on top, hooking the leg... 1... KICKOUT! Corey shoots out the backdoor and flips up on top of Sting with an armlock.
Maintaining the hold, the two get up to their feet. Corey bends Sting into a full nelson... but Sting does a single leg pick up that flips him back into the corner. Sting rushes in at him.... STINGER SPLASH!!!
Sting dives on top of Corey... 1... 2... 3...!!!!! Many fans in the arena cheer WILDLY for Sting as he stands up. Wild Chylde turns toward Ted DiBiase... and all three are coming over the barricade. Mero and Luger roll into the ring as Ted climbs up the steps, laughing.
Slick applauds Sting and gives him a thumbs up. He then walks up the aisle, pausing for a moment to get a dance step in. Sting then backs away as Luger, Mero and Ted DiBiase move up toward Corey. Bret and Wild Chylde stand ready at ringside.
Ted DiBiase stands over Corey Major, who is flat on his back. Ted pulls out a hundred dollar bill and holds it up to the fans... then he leans over and pushes it into Corey's mouth!!! Ted stands up laughing as Corey coughs up the bill, gagging and choking for air.
Ted turns and looks out at Wild Chylde...
Ted: Consider THAT... just a prelude to what will happen to this punk if you DON'T drop him... like yesterday's newspaper. I taught you better then this, Chylde. WISE UP.... or he'll PAY THE PRICE!! HAHAHAHAAH!!!
Bret and Wild Chylde enter the ring. Wild Chylde looks at her father, angrily.
Wild Chylde: You never taught me ANYTHING... BUT NOT TO listen to a WORD YOU SAY!
She pushes past him a bit... and goes to help up Corey with Bret. Ted laughs, then motions to Mero and Luger. They leave the ring and return to their seats.
Sting steps forward and pats Corey on the back... then turns and leaves.
