RESULTS: Monday Night Raw May 28, 1997

DOK HENDRIKS INTERVIEWS....

Dok Hendriks comes down the aisle and gets up into the ring.

Dok: Hey, everyone. I've been asked to meet someone here, but I'm not sure what's going on . . . JR, do you know -

Dok looks out of the ring, shrugging his shoulders and looking confused. Then, a LOUD firework explodes overhead, and Dok leaps a foot in the air!

Dok: AHHHHHH!

The crowd peers up to the rafters, where someone is repelling down! It's Sting! NO! WAIT! It IS Sting!

Sting drops to the mat, looking out at the crowd, who stares back at him! Sting is decked out in a yellow pair of tights, with a black scorpion painted on both legs. His face is painted up yellow, red, black, and white . . . and his hair is blonde, with a sharp crew cut! Dok looks as surprised as everyone else, as he raises up the microphone.

Dok: STING? Is that you?!?

Sting: DOK, my man, it IS me! NO longer is the Stinger the guy in the black and white paint who carries around the bat! NO longer is Sting the guy wearing all black and hanging out in the rafters! It's been a long time coming, but Dok . . . the REAL Sting . . . ME . . . is BACK!

Dok: This is certainly a bit of a surprsie here! Stinger, what made you make this decision?

Sting: Brother, I'll tell you EXACTLY what helped me along on this decision! First of all, all the Little Stingers out there who used to count on me were left without a hero! How can they look up to a guy that drops down from the dark and strikes from behind? Second, it was the fact that I realized that I was losing my respect, like I talked about before. Dropping down and jumping people is NOT how to get respect, Dok. You want respect, you gotta EARN it! And THAT is what I plan on doing!

Dok: I hear you!

Sting: And finally, it was the advice of one man . . . a guy that KNOWS from whence he speaks, and I'm talking about Jeff Jarrett. The man that told me that it's the FANS that make the difference around here! And without respect, you're without support, Dok! Double J knows the power of what the people can do! And his word is good enough for me, Dok. Without the people you're NOTHING! Without all the Little Stingers and the Old Stingers and whoever else, I'M nothing! And it's turning myself around that I plan to do, Dok.

Dok: How exactly do you plan to turn yourself around?

Sting: Dok, I know that I can't win back the people's respect in just one night! I know it's gonna take time and effort and TRUST to get them behind me! But no matter HOW long it takes, that is EXACTLY what I'm gonna do! I'm gonna start mending bridges . . . I'm gonna fix the houses that I've burned down. I'm gonna make amends for what I've done, Dok. And when it's all said and done, no matter how long it takes, The Stinger WILL have his respect back! Dok, I'll be seein' ya! OWWWWWWWWWWW!

Sting leaps over the top rope and drops down to the floor, as he makes his way back to the aisle. Double J stands up from the broadcast position and applauds. As Sting passes the broadcast booth, he slaps a high 5 with Double J! Sting makes his way up the aisle and slaps the fans hands as he goes.

He is met by... the Doctor of Style, Slick. The Slickster 'smoothes' his way up to Sting with a happy look. He greets the Stinger with a high-five, then does a spin on his heels, showing off a bit for the fans.

The Slickster holds up a finger, motioning to Sting to give him a moment. Slick reaches into his pocket... and pulls out a small business card. He hands it to Sting.... pats him on the shoulder, and speaks.

Slick: Sting, my friend... we are ALL happy for your decision. And if you would like... call these people up. They will help you, as will I. You need ONLY ask! PEACE!

Slick turns and 'glides' up the aisle, strutting as he disappears behind the curtain. The camera moves in on the business card... and it has phone numbers for various Network members.

Sting continues up the aisle, holding the card, and slapping the fans hands as he goes.

JR: THE STINGER IS BACK!!! AND MAYBE ON HIS WAY TO BECOMING THE 1997 KING OF THE RING!!!! Folks... it's time for our MAIN EVENT!!! These two guys don't like each other none! Let's show you where it ALL started!!!

Some footage is shown of Terry Taylor yanking Flash Funk out of the ring as he tried to pin Corey Major in a match some weeks back. The two then battled out on the floor at ringside. The scene dissolves....

Terry"mmm i didnt exactly see the point in this macth but if the pimp wants a loss ill hand him one ....two cold i was the wcw tv champ when you and bagwell were togther ...the only differnce is im still terry taylor and now youre just another jobber in a pimp outfit.

FLASH FUNK PRE-MATCH COMMENTS

Flash Funk is standing in the back.

Flash: YO! Taylor! You been askin' for a beating for a WHILE! And tonight, it's gonna happen. I ain't gonna be surprised in the LEAST if you get all you boys out there to try and take me down, like you did with the 6-man tag. What else would I expect from a COWARD? Taylor, there's a whole line of guys in the WWF who would like to get a piece of you, and I'm gettin' my share tonight!
