RESULTS: Monday Night Raw May 5, 1997

The Match:
The Machine emerges from the curtains with Mr. Scott Hall leading the way. Then.... suddenly.... THE ENFORCERS STRIKE! Benoit and Anderson have ball bats... and they swat him down in the legs. The Road Warriors, Brutus and the Warrior start running up the aisle with their weapons... and the Enforcers retreat behind the curtains.

JR: What was THAT all about? The Horsemen... attacking Taylor Tech!? The Machine getting up slowly.... (pauses) He'll be alright!

The Machine gets into the ring, and the announcer introduces his opponent...

THP comes out with Bobby Heenan and Bret Hart. Bret is dressed in street clothes, a leather jacket and his sunglasses. THP has on a long white trench coat and red, white and blue face paint. His music is 'Machinehead' by Bush. Heenan gives him some instructions and THP gets into the ring.

The bell sounds. THP and the Machine lock up. The Phenom pushes the Machine back and throws a hard right... that the Machine blocks..... then LEG SWEEPS the Phenom down! The Machine flips over for a shoulder roll... but THP rolls aside and to his feet, bringing a stomp down on the prone Corporate Machine.

The Machine dives in and double legs THP to the mat... then leaps high in the air.... MISSING A LEG DROP! THP cracks him in the back of the head with a kick on his way to his feet!

JR: Back and forth action so far!

THP hooks the Machine's arm, prepping for a Code:Red. The Machine throws him off and to the corner... then runs in at him... HANDSPRING ELBOW SMASH!! THP doubles over... into a SNAP SUPLEX!!! Machine covers... 1... kickout!

The Machine head scissors his foe. THP kips up to his feet... but the Machine holds the head scissors... and flips him over in a hurricarana!!!

JR: Heart Attack... that's a lot like YOUR move!

Heart Attack: One of my FAVORITES!

The Machine goes up to the top rope... moonsault... NOBODY HOME!!! The Machine tucks and rolls and comes up without hurting himself. Both he and THP lock up... and the Machine pushes him back into the corner, trapping him there... and SPIN KICKING HIM..... THEN AGAIN!!! He leaps AGAIN... and THP grabs him in mid air... and TAKES HIM DOWN IN THE CODE: RED!!!

The Machine gets up on his hands and knees.... flips over... and uses leverage to FLIP THP out of the RING! He lands on his feet... looks up.... HERE COMES THE MACHINE!!!! OVER THE TOP....

THP ducks under and rolls in as the Machine crashes down on the mats!

Sarah: The Machine WILL take chances... but I think THP has got this one now!

JR: Don't count out the Machine yet! He's dangerous!

THP rests on his knees in the center of the ring as the ref counts out the Machine... 3.... 4.... 5.... the Machine rolls in. Both wrestlers stalk around toward each other.

S.B. Peterson is shown around in the fans again, taking... NOTES! The Road Warriors, Brutus and the Warrior move around the ring. Bret Hart and Heenan are still on their side, opposite Mr. Scott Hall.

The Machine throws a kick at THP... who CATCHES the foot! The Machine leaps up with the other foot... INSUGORI KICK!!! He covers!!! 1... 2... kickout! THP forces him off and starts to scramble to his feet... but is RAKED IN THE FACE!!!

THP backs up, holding his face and trying to regain his vision. The Machine SNAP KICKS him in the face, nearly knocking him head over heels!!! The Machine covers... 1... 2... 3...!!!!!

Winner, by pinfall: The Corporate Machine

JR: WOW! That man has one of the most devastating kicks this side of Shawn Michaels or Shi!

Sarah D: And BAREFOOT no less!

The Machine rolls out of the ring, and Scott Hall starts to head around to join him. The Machine holds his arms up toward the booing fans... then is ASSAULTED...
