RESULTS: Monday Night Raw June 16, 1997

After the break, we return to see Blaze firing forearm shots up into the muscular Tyr. Tyr is rocked back. Blaze then turns to kicks into Tyr's legs. She hits the ropes and comes at Tyr....

Tyr catches her in a SLEEPER!!! She puts her 310 pounds over the 110 pounds of Starr Blaze and wears her down quickly!

Vincer: There seems to be no escaping THAT hold. I believe it is called the....

JR: SLEEPER!

Vincer: Thank you.

Tyr lets go of the sleeper and looks out to the Undertaker. She starts to pull Blaze up... she does... and she turns her over....

Tyr: Like THIS, Undertaker???

Undertaker: Yes... finish the match and pay attention.

Tyr: Yes, sir!

Tyr TOMBSTONES Starr Blaze! She folds her arms over and goes for the pin. The ref slaps the mat.. 1... Blaze kicks out! Tyr shrugs at the Undertaker, who watches back. Seeress offers words of encouragement.

Tyr lifts Blaze up into a NECKBREAKER!!! Then Blaze is sent for the ride... TILT-A-WHIRL SLAM!!!

Vincer: She's DOMINATING her!

JR: When Lady Tyr gets on a roll... she GETS ON A ROLL!!!

Lady Tyr continues to work on Blaze's back... with a POWERBOMB!!! Blaze is sent to the ropes... ANOTHER POWER SLAM!!!

Tyr then snatches up Blaze from behind her neck... pulls her up in a reverse choke slam.... but FALLS BACK WITH IT!!!

JR: THE GODDESS PLEX!!!!

Tyr covers... the ref dives into position 1... Tyr hooks the leg... 2..... Blaze kicks.... 3...!!!!! Tyr stands up with a smile and hears her fans cheer wildly for her! She climbs from the ring and joins the Undertaker and Seeress. Tyr takes a victory chug of Cherry Cider in record time, then all three leave.

Vincer: Lady Tyr is a powerful woman. When future scenarios present themselves, I would do well to place money on her.

JR: I think Starr Blaze is going to need some help up there.

The others keep an eye out for trouble as Sting and Rick Rude help up the unconcious Starr Blaze.

JR: Let's go now to BAM BAM BIGELOW. He has some INTERESTING things to tell us!

BAM BAM BIGELOW

Bam Bam is in his office. His walls are lined with various posters of WWF Superstars.

Bam Bam: Hey everybody. Vice President Bam Bam Bigelow here. I've got some important things to talk about here.

Bam Bam opens up his desk drawer and pulls out a SLAMMY AWARD! He sets it on his desk. The lights sparkle off of it.

Bam Bam: As you know, each December, we hold a year-end Slammy Award show...ta honor the best in the business. Well... Three hunnert an' sixty five days is a LONG time. An' it's easy ta forget things.

Bam Bam: So.... seein' as how this is just about the middle of th' year. We're gonna hold some nominations now... and then do it again in November inta December an' combine the results so we have the most accurate ballotin' possible.

Bam Bam: We're not gonna hit you wit' all the nominations at once. We got somethin' like 14 awards...an' we're gonna space 'em out over a few weeks.

Bam Bam picks up the Slammy, holding it as he speaks.

Bam Bam: This week, I'd like ta hear from everyone on who they think the top THREE superstars are.... for each of the followin' awards: Wrestler of the Year, Tag Team of the Year an' Female Wrestler of the Year.

Bam Bam: Try an' come up wit' THREE for EACH! An' this is important... ya GOTTA nominate. If ya don't, you won't be elligible for ANY of the nominations that you receive.

Bam Bam sets the award back down.

Bam Bam: Every week, I'm gonna tell you what awards we're gonna nominate for. Ya got until Saturday of that week to get in your picks. Send 'em ta Piper's assistant Vayman.
