The Match:
The lights in the arena go dark, as "The Man Called Sting" starts to play. Suddenly, pyrotechincs begin shooing up from the corners of the ring and off the mat! The crowd cheers as Rick Rude passes through the curtains, followed by Sting.Rude keeps his eyes everywhere, and Sting turns around towards the entrance as missle-like pyro shoots up from the floor towards the ceiling! Sting turns back towards the ring and heads up the aisle, slapping hands with the fans.
Rude checks under the ring and around the front rows as Sting hops over the top rope into the ring. Sting climbs up to corners and gives an "OWWWWWWWWW!" out to the crowd! He drops down and Rude climbs up to the apron to talk last minute strategy.
Then... the Warrior runs down to the ring like a wildman! Ahmed, Rocky and Brutus follow closely behind him. Ahmed has hit 2x4 and Brutus has his ever-so-sharp hedgeclippers. The Warrior is wearing silver and black facepaing and has on silver tights. He hits the ring and starts shaking the ropes, going nuts!!!
He enters and both he and Sting shake hands.
Roxanne: Now THAT is what I like to see! I applaud them!
JR: Sets a good example for all the kids!
Roxanne: It's important that we ALL try to do that!
The Warrior looks to lock up with Sting... but the Stinger hangs back. The Warrior rushes in and doubles Sting forward with a kneelift... then he hits a DROP DDT!!! The Warrior waits for Sting to stand.. then hits a SHOULDERBLOCK!! He runs right through him... hits the ropes... SHOULDERBLOCK!!! The Warrior keeps going.... SHOULDERBLOCK!!! The Warrior pauses this time, pulling Sting up by the hair...
ANOTHER SHOULDERBLOCK!!!
JR: The champion is looking good early!
Roxanne: That's an important part of a match for a champion, JR. You've GOT to set the pace and control the tempo. Let THEM know who the champion is!
The Warrior starts getting REALLY pumped up, pulling the fans into the action!! He flings Sting to the rope... and catches him in a SPINEBUSTER!!! He pulls the Stinger up again... and the Stinger flips out of his grasp and catches the Warrior on the edge of his chin with a DROPKICK! Sting KNEEDROPS the Warrior on the way down!!!
Roxanne: Good concentration by Sting to add that in at the end! Nice!
JR: Both of these superstars are VETERANS of the mat wars!
Sting bounces back into the ropes and charges in. The Warrior gets up to his feet, facing the wrong way. He turns at the last second and sees Sting diving at him in mid-air... HE CATCHES HIM... IN A POWERSLAM!!!
The Warrior gets up over Sting.... LEGDROP!!! The Warrior then circles around behind Sting and pauses. Sting gets up, getting his bearings. The Warrior is behind him... and hits a SIDE SUPLEX!!!
JR: UNRELENTING!!! The Warrior is showing WHY he's the champ!!!
Roxanne: Probably our most DOMINATING champion right now IN the WWF!
The Warrior pulls Sting up by the hair... body hugs him... INTO A BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX!!! The Warrior gets back and measures him. He waits on the Stinger to get to his feet... then jumps up for a STANDING DROKICK... Sting backs away out of range!! The Warrior crashes down!!
Sting hits a DROP PUNCH!!! Right on the lower back!!! He then starts thrusting knee smashes into the lower back... finishing with an ELBOWDROP!!!
The challenger then starts stomping on the back with his boots.
JR: Sting is softening up the champion for the Scorpion Death Lock!
Roxanne: If he clamps it on... it could be over! He beat the Hitman with it... so we KNOW it's effective... just from it's TRACK record!!
Sting pulls up one of the Warrior's legs and turns him over into a HALF BOSTON CRAB!!! The Warrior uses his power to hang in there... but Sting keeps it for as long as he can before releasing...
