RESULTS: Monday Night Raw June 23, 1997

JR: Well... looks like Heart Attack won't be coming back just yet. But that's alright. I'll hold down the fort. Up next we have JOBO! He's got to be a possibility for Rookie of the Year. He'll be facing... the KYOTO NINJA!!! Let's head up there now.

The Match:
Van Halen's 'Crossing Over' plays. The fans give a nice ovation for the popular masked Japanese wrestler, the Kyoto Ninja. He jogs to the ring, followed by Hakushi, who is dressed in his white gear with bamboo hat.

The Ninja slides into the ring and stands in the center. He turns and bows deeply to Hakushi, who nods back.

JoBo's music begins to play. He walks through the curtains behind ZoBo.

JR: ZoBo has RETURNED! The mind behind the mayhem is once again leading JoBo to the ring! JoBo defeated Shawn Michaels at the King of the Ring! And if ZoBo was there, who KNOWS how far he could have gone!

JoBo walks quickly and has no expression on his face. He gets into the ring... and CHARGES at the Kyoto Ninja! The Ninja quickly gets into a defense stance... but is bowled over by the 436 pounder! The Ninja rolls with the impact and comes up on his feet... STILL in his defensive stance.

ZoBo instructs JoBo to move in! The Ninja moves QUICKER though! He avoids JoBo and comes up behind him... then unloads a KARATE KICK to his back.

The massive man simply turns and snatches up the small Cruiserweight...and SLAMS him down to the mat!

JR: This JoBo is a FUTURE star! He's been banned from some of the independent circuits... and has met success in others. The WWF may be his calling!

JoBo leaps up in the air... BIG LEGDROP!!! The fans 'OH!' when he hits!! JoBo pulls up the 210 pounder along his waist... INTO A SIDE SUPLEX!!!

JR: Perhaps better then ANY big man, JoBo knows how to use his weight! It's his BIGGEST weapon!

The Kyoto Ninja is sent for the ride... HARD to the turnbuckles!! Hakushi yells for the Ninja to move. He looks up... AND JOBO IS CRASHING IN AT HIM... AVALANCHE!!!! The Ninja falls flat onto the mat.

JoBo leaps up again.... ABDOMINAL SPLASH!! He hooks the leg... 1... 2... 3...!!! JoBo stands up over the Ninja... then leaves the ring, walking out with ZoBo.

JR: What a FORCE this JoBo is! And he's not even been around all that long! And now that ZoBo is back... the SKY'S the limit for this big man... who... listen to this... he HAS his fans!!!

The Ninja is helped out of the ring by Hakushi. They talk amongst themselves, then walk out.

JR: Wait a minute... what THIS I hear....

Sid's music begins playing and Sid comes out with a mixed response from the= crowd. He doesn't slap any hands and walks to the ring directly. He jumps on the apron and grabs a microphone. He turns the microphone on and begins to talk.

Sid : You know...alot of you people are probably angry at me. And I understand that...I deserve every boo you people can give me. But I am here tonight to say a couple of things that I mean...from the bottom of my heart. Everyone saw how I accidently hit Sting with a chair. I directly after that said sorry to Sting and he could accept it...but after I tried to help Sting back up...Flash Funk came out. Flash Funk came out and did what every friend would have done. He tried to help Sting because he thought Sting was in danger. Flash Funk thought I had snapped. And he charged from behind...didn't even attack. Imagine...a little guy like that going against a man like me...what guts.= And what did I do ?. I turned around...booted him in the stomach and twisted him upside down with my powerbomb. I thought I was beeing attack by Taylor Tech...and I defended myself the only way I knew how...brute strentgh. I didn't even have to defend myself...but I did...and I was stupid. So to Flash Funk...if he is watching this at home right...there is nothin= g I can do to change what happened. The only thing I can do is tell you that I am sorry. That's the only thing that I can say...sorry. I know sorry won't get you back on your feet...but it's all I can give yo= u right now. But I also heard people were getting on Sarah D's case. Sarah...a woman who I care for very deeply...is getting attack because of= me. Because of something stupid that I did. And the last thing I wanna do is give The Network a bad name. Those people gave me a second chance when quite frankly I didn't deserve it. And I screwed it all up. I would like to stay with The Network...but I figure you people won't fee= l safe with me around. So here is what I am gonna do. Sarah I know you can hear me so please listen. I am going away for two week...in that week you can have all the Network Meetings you want...I don't care. But two weeks from now...I am coming back...and I am gonna stand on the exact same spot...and I would like to hear out of the mouth of Sarah D...= if I can stay in the Network...or if they prefer that I leave. Sarah...and all my friends at The Network...it's up to you. It's your choice. Untill next week.

Sid drops the microphone and walks back out of the arena.
