Corey rides Bret down and tries to spin him into a hammerlock. Bret sits out and they get up to their feet. Bret backs out of the hammerlock and comes up with an ARMWRINGER on Corey.
Wild Chylde looks on.... and is joined by... TERRY TAYLOR! The Giant is with him and he takes a seat with Jim Ross, Heart Attack and Sarah D.Taylor whispers something to Wild Chylde and she looks at him with an annoyed look. He hands her something... but the camera cannot see what it is.
Back in the ring, Bret holds out Corey's arm and kicks his foot out at him to take him down. Corey pulls his leg up in time to avoid the kick... he brings his leg down and wraps it on Bret's... hooks the Hitman around the neck... SIDE RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP!!
JR: What a nice counter move!
Corey rolls Bret to his stomach and puts back on the hammerlock. He wrenches it around, really laying into it. Bret starts to plot an escape....
Giant: Terry's very smart and he's the best partner I could have. Ms Heart Attack, why did you say he 'brainwashed' me?
H.A. I said he CORRUPTED you. You seem like a nice guy on your own. You never seem to wanna hurt people unless he tells you to.
Taylor walks from Wild Chylde then turns to watch the match.
Bret begins to rise up out of the hammerlock. Corey releases and attempts to clamp on the standing side headlock! Bret reaches down and grabs a leg... and FLIPS Corey off his feet, following him down.... and putting on a HEADLOCK ON COREY!!!
Corey starts to rise up, but Bret holds the headlock on, even to his feet. Corey pushes Bret off and to the ropes... Bret comes back at him...
The Hitman moves towards Corey's head, for a collar and elbow tie up. Corey reaches up for it... and the Hitman ducks under his arms, hooks the waist and PLANTS HIM DOWN with a side suplex!!!
Giant: Terry's my friend. It's all business... that's what he says anyway... and he won the titles for us.
JR: Well... that's not how I remember it!
Bret keeps Corey down on the mat, grapevining the leg and holding him down. Corey struggles for the ropes... and can't reach. He reaches back and tries to pull Bret's legs off of his. The Hitman lets go first and rolls back to his feet.
Corey gets up. Bret pushes back into the ropes, then rushes in with a clothesline... MAJOR DUCKS!!! Corey spins around behind Bret and puts back on the HAMMERLOCK!! Bret starts to counter.... so Corey hooks his leg with his own and pushes Bret forward, sending him stumbling toward the ropes and bouncing off....
Corey turns slightly in the ring... catches Bret around the mid-section... IN THE TILT-A-WHIRL SLAM!!!! Corey quickly covers, hooking the leg... The ref dives into position and counts... 1... 2... 3...!!!!
JR: OH....MY GOD!!!!
Heart Attack: HE GOT HIM!!!!!
Corey stands up and looks out at the fans. His eyes are wide and he looks stunned!! A brief glare of anger comes across Bret's face, but he quickly shakes it off before Corey turns....
Corey offers his hand to Bret and they shake. The Anvil has a big grin on his face on the outside. Corey's music starts to play and he hears his fans cheer. It is then that it sinks in that he won! He high-fives Bret then dives out of the ring and pulls Wild Chylde up into a big hug! Wild Chylde looks as stunned as Corey does!!
JR: He... he... he knocked the WIND out of the Hitman! Took him by suprise!!!
Sarah: Well, that was an upset.
Heart Attack: I can't believe it!!!!
Corey turns and gives a big smile and thumbs up to Bret in the ring, then disappears behind the curtains with Wild Chylde.
JR: WOW! How about THAT!? I wonder what Ted DiBiase thought about it! Wild Chylde has given us a TAPE for us to check out! It's a response to Ted DiBiase. Let's go to that now.
