Dok: EIGHT DAYS AWAY!!!
The King of the Ring logo POPS up onto the screen, then recedes back to settle next to Dok's head.
Dok: THAT'S RIGHT!!! The King of the Ring... is on it's WAY! And it will be the site... of the crowning of the King... AND of the NEW WWF Television Champion!!! The King will be the new champ!
Dok: The talk of the town... or of the WORLD... is the WILDCARD, as it's being called. There's been no official word from Titan Tower on this. What I have been informed by representatives of President Piper and Bam Bam... IS... that the JoBo/Scott Hall match is ON for King of the Ring. JoBo is injured, but he's putting aside his pain to step into the ring.
Dok: So what was Piper talking about? Did he change his mind? He just told Hall... to get ready for a fight! Weeelllll... I guess that means that JoBo WILL fight, and won't be kept out of the tournament due to his injuries at the hands of Taylor Tech.
Dok: Stone Cold and Flash Funk will duke it out in the first round. Sabrina can do pretty good on June 15th.... she stands to win TWO titles! Not only could Austin become the TV champion... but Brian Pillman could become the WORLD CHAMPION! Let's go to Brian Pillman now.
The camera cuts to show Brian Pillman, cackling back in the locker room. Behind him, on the locker's top shelf, Pillman has purchased about twenty of the foam WWF Title belts from the souvenier stand.
Pillman: Hendriks... it's about TIME you came to me. Everyone saw what BRILLIANCE and SKILL I possessed last Raw. I defeated the TOP names that the WWF has to offer... INCLUDING the Intercontinental Champion! And at King of the Ring, I'll become the WORLD CHAMPION! HAHAHA!!
Dok: But Brian... it's VADER! What can YOU do against the Prince of Power?
Pillman: Hey Dok, I've got nothing against Vader. He's a big dude... bad to the bone, and doesn't take a back seat to anybody. He's a lot like me and Stone Cold. But I'm going to run CIRCLES around him in Providence, until he teeters around like a dizzy T-Rex and falls flat on his face!! Then... it's all elementary there.... 1.. 2... 3.... and EXTINCTION for the Man they Call Vader!
Dok: You seem pretty confident... but that doesn't suprise me.
Pillman: Dok... THINK about it. I have the speed and endurance... AND the aerial ability over Vader. And with Sabrina Savage guiding me.... the Manager of the Year, that is... and the ONLY reason Derrick Stardom ever WON the I/C title.... and let's not forget.. the FORMER World Champion, Lucifer Graves watching out for me.... and my BEST BUDDY, Stone Cold Steve Austin keeping jealous LOSERS out of my match.... I'M A SHOE IN! PILLMAN 3:16 ON JUNE 15!!! HAHAHAHA!!
Dok is shown back in the studio.
Dok: Vader and Pillman... should be an interesting match. Also on the card.... she'll be up a little later... CAN'T WAIT.... Roxanne! She'll be facing... in a STRETCHER MATCH... Womankind! One has to wonder... if GOLD-DUST will play a part in this match. It's been a three-way war of psychology and brutality between these three. It could come to a head on the 15th.
Dok: AND THAT'S FATHER'S DAY! We heard from Wild Chylde DiBiase earlier on. Will she... or WON'T she? The ball is in her court, and we're ALL waiting to see what she will do for her 'loving' father, Ted DiBiase on his special day.
Dok: Back to Tournament action.... what about Stevie Ray and Sting! Sting will be announcing... a BODY GUARD very soon! Maybe sometime today! What role will he... or SHE... play in this match? And what about what Stevie Ray said.. where he comes from... he IS the hood? Something is not quite right. We'll have to wait and see.
Dok: And the big one of the quarter-finals... the Giant will take on... the DEFENDING King of the Ring, Big Daddy Cool... DIESEL! This is a re-match from WrestleMania IV. Diesel got the duke then with a POWERFUL twisting leg hold on the Giant... but since that time, the Giant has been training with Terry Taylor, and he may not fall prey to a similar move THIS time.
Dok: A big day for Jim Cornette... not only does VADER wrestle... but so does DEMOLITION! It's their kind of match.... a NO DQ match! They'll take on the Hart Foundation. And well... it might be THEIR kind of match, too... now that... get this... THE ANVIL IS CALLING THE SHOTS for the team!! The referee will have his hands full keeping this one from turning into an ALL OUT STREET FIGHT!!!
