Wild Chylde: (holds up the bag in her hand) Corey, I was raised to rely on my father to make all my decisions. This one is mine. I want us to get engaged, Corey. I want us to marry someday. I don't want to leave you.

Corey stumbles back, as if struck. His eyes seem ready to pop from his head. Wild Chylde smiles at him. The fans begin to murmur. Ted's jaw gapes open!

Ted: WHAT?!?!?!?!

Corey looks at Wild Chylde with a disbelieving smile.

Corey: (out of breath) Did you... you...

She nods at him, grinning widely. Ted starts to walk forward, a stern look coming across his face. Wild Chylde turns to him.

Wild Chylde: (yelling) AND YOU! Don't YOU even MOVE!

Corey is standing there, his mind working through all the possible scenarios.

Ted:....

Wild Chylde: You have NO control over me ANYMORE! I don't WANT your MONEY! I don't want YOU unless you let me be MYSELF!

Ted: Your being YOURSELF straight to your DOOM! I taught you BETTER then THIS!

Ted looks IRATE! Corey turns and looks at Ted in disgust. Everyone is standing.

Wild Chylde: TAUGHT ME?! You DRILLED me, you TORTURED me! I want this Dad. More then anything I've EVER wanted! And I mean to HAVE it!

Wild Chylde reaches into the bag and pulls out a ring box. She looks at Corey.

Corey: (shocked) THAT'S A.... RING!

Wild Chylde: Yes. My father gave this ring to my mother. She told me to give it to you, along with her blessing.

Wild Chylde hands the box to Corey. Ted's face turns a bright, cherry red. He looks like he's ready to erupt! Lex and Mero watch from the outside, stoic. Corey takes the box and looks at it, contemplating it. The fans cheer him on.

Ted: I KNOW how scum like this is. He WON'T do it! He WON'T!

Corey opens the ring box like a ritual. His eyes go wide at the huge, glittering diamond.

Corey: I guess it IS the 90's. (smiles at Wild Chylde)

Ted: LITTLE MAN, put the ring DOWN and get OUT of here while you still can.

Wild Chylde: (getting just as angry) SHUT UP!

Ted: NO! You disobedient BITCH! For once, YOU LISTEN TO ME!!

Wild Chylde's eyes go wide with pain and she steps back as if slapped. Corey looks angrily at Ted, his eyes flaring up.

Corey: FOR ONCE... STAY OUT OF HER LIFE!!!!

Corey lunges at Ted and swings, landing a PUNCH square in his jaw, sending him up and over the ropes to the outside! He lands at Lex and Mero's feet. The fans go WILD!!!

Corey takes the ring out of the box and turns back to Wild Chylde with a more confident smile. Amidst tears, she smiles back. A hush falls over the crowd as Lex and Mero look around, unsure of what to do.

Corey drops down to one knee, taking her left hand in his. He looks up at her.

Corey: Wild Chylde, you're right. We haven't been together long... but in that short time, I have come to realize just how important you are to me. And this past week... I didn't have a chance to tell you... but Wild Chylde... I love you. And I want this just as much as you do, if not more. Wild Chylde, will you marry me?

Ted stands up, holding his jaw in pain. His tie has been pulled out and his hair is a mess. He looks up into the ring, his mouth wide open in shock.

Wild Chylde: Corey, I love you too... and YES. I WILL marry you!

The fans go BALLISTIC! Corey gets a big smile on his face! He takes the ring and places it on her finger. It sparkles in the light. He stands up and lets her admire it for a moment, then he pulls her into his arms and gives her a heartfelt embrace, then a kiss. He spins her around, then sets her down.

She steps back, holding his hands.

Wild Chylde: Let's get out of here and celebrate. (she looks at Ted.) The AIR is BAD in here.

Corey nods and helps her through the ropes. They walk up the aisle to the applause of the fans and disappear behind the curtains.

Ted stands in front of Luger and Mero, clenching his fists and unclenching them. He looks to both of them, then angrily motions for them to follow him out.

JR: WHAT A GREAT DAY!!!

Bam Bam: Anytime you see Ted DiBiase PUNCHED is a great day!

JR: He'll NEVER forget what happened here in Providence!

Bam Bam: And neither was Corey! Man... let me be the FIRST to say... CONGRATULATIONS, to BOTH of them. They're a good couple.

JR: Who'da a thought COREY MAJOR would ever get ENGAGED!!?

Bam Bam: And to WILD CHYLDE, no less!
