FLASH FUNK PRE-MATCH INTERVIEW
Mean Gene: I'm standing by with Flash Funk, who faces Corey Major here tonight in order to advance into the King of the Ring tournament. Flash, how do you like your chances for tonight's match?
Flash: Mean Gene, I gotta tell you that I LIKE my chances! I'm not taking anything away from Corey Major, cause he's a great athlete, and he can beat ANYONE in the WWF! But I think that I've been on a BIG roll as of late, and I'm gonna keep on rolling here tonight!
Mean Gene: All right, thanks for joining me, Flash. Let's go now to Dok Hendriks!
COREY MAJOR PRE-MATCH INTERIVEW
Dok Hendriks is dressed up FINE in a well-fitted tuxedo! He is beaming!
Dok: (adjusting his tie) Nope... I didn't get dressed up for Qualify 97! I got me a date with SABLE after the card! Marc Mero should have NEVER dumped her... she is QUITE the catch! Now let me introduce to you a man I hope she NEVER lays eyes on... I'm talking about Chaotic Corey Major!
Corey enters wearing a NITRO SUCKS t-shirt under a seude jacket with the Tripwire logo embroidered across the breast. His hair is pulled back into a tight pony-tail.
Dok: Corey Major, in just a little bit, you'll be wrestling in one of the most important matches of your career... Flash Funk in a Qualify Match for the King of the Ring!
Corey: You know it dude. Me and Flash went at it before, kinda... but others had plans.
Footage is shown of DDP and the Harlem Heat attacking Corey on the way to the ring with steel chairs. A cut... then Terry Taylor is shown, yanking Flash Funk out of the ring by the foot as he was covering Corey.)
Corey: But tonight, man.. HOPEFULLY, we'll both enter healthy and put on the performance that was MEANT to be! But Flash... I want to warn you dude. This ain't just a hobby for me no more. I'm looking to win it all... because I KNOW I can!
Dok: Glad to hear your confidence is rising. Anything to do with Sabrina? Later on, we'll find out if you're going to sign with her. Any hints?
Corey: Not yet, Dok my man. Wait and see. But I can promise you this... unlike this arena... it WON'T be a sell-out!
Dok: Alright! Can't wait for that! Good luck tonight against Flash Funk! Let's get out there!
